Nan Mufeng quickly found some dry wood and used a lighter left on the shore to light a small fire: "Come warm yourself so you don't catch a cold."
Jian Xi sat down by the fire, not asking for much; just to dry the clothes on her chest first.
Nan Mufeng sat on the other side of the fire, both quietly warming themselves.
The dry branches burned, occasionally crackling. Not far away was the sound of the Jiang River flowing towards the sea.
The air was very quiet, and after a busy day, Jian Xi was too tired to argue with Nan Mufeng anymore.
Soon, the front of Jian Xi's shirt was dry. She breathed a sigh of relief, stood up, and was ready to leave.
At that moment, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a snake! It wasn't thick, only two fingers wide, but its head was triangular! It moved very quickly, and Nan Mufeng hadn't noticed yet.
In a flash, Jian Xi quickly kicked a stone to hit the venomous snake.
