Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Taught well

Elian chuckled as he averted his gaze.

"Yes, but that was not fear because girls come swarming to my feet to stroke my skin and admire my lovely eyes." He spoke boastfully, and Eliot narrowed his eyes.

Emery remained silent as he watched his elder brothers argue.

"Then why haven't you dated?" Eliot asked.

"Not interested in women."

"You mean you are not'sexually' interested in women ."

"Hell fucking no."

"Elian, bring a girl home and I'll believe you."

"Don't care about your perspective."

" But what about mom? People will gossip about how she raised all three of her sons to be gay.

"Fuck you." Elian said with a raised voice as he stood up. He was upset not because he was being accused of being gay, but because according to the society, his mother will get criticized and his mother is the only woman who he Cares about.

"Fine, I am in, just for Mom's sake."

"I'm in too." Eliot said, glaring at Elian.

Gazing at his two brothers, Emery grinned.

Ariane sat on the couch as she watched a movie with a blanket over her.

She watched the movie and snacked on some chips.

She then heard the door open but did not go to check.

"Oh my, Ari, why are you home so early? Jenny said as she entered the living room.

Ariane raised her gaze to Jenny, who was looking around the living room, noticing the various snack and food packs.

"I was fired, Jenny." Jenny turned sharply to face Ariane.

"What?! How? The handsome boss fired you?"

"His girlfriend pulled a prank. Rather, she lied that I tried to take her life."

"But I know you will not do such a thing, Hun... But still, your boss believed her? I knew something was off with your boss. He is being controlled by a woman..." Jenny sighed, attempting to control her emotions.

She felt like going to Ariane's boss and yelling some sense into him.

"He didn't believe me, well, who am I? His girlfriend is his top priority. Ariane said.

Jenny let out another sigh and moved to sit down while Ariane kept eating her chips.

"You seem to be enjoying your evening though." Jenny said as she looked  around at the snacks.

She grabbed a packet of chips and opened it.

"I used the company credit card." Jenny choked on her chips after Ariane said that.

"What? You stole it?"

"They gave it to me but did not ask for it, so after I got fired, I bought these and threw away the card."

Jenny chuckled when she heard those words.

"You are a crazy girl, I really taught you well." Jenny said.

"Right?" Ariane said in a jokingly with a smile which made jenny give a small laugh.

They sat quietly for a few moments before Jenny came up with an idea.

"You know, today's Friday." She turned to Ariane, wiggling her brows which made Ariane's brows crease.

"And?"

"Dont you get? Let's go have some fun tonight. Just me, you, in some club getting drunk. I don't have to go to work tomorrow since it's Saturday. Let's just enjoy our evening together like we use to."

Jenny exclaimed excitedly as she stood up; she was only concerned about her friend, who had been fired and had lost all hope of helping her family... Ariane appears calm and reserved.

"Please?"

Ariane gave it a quick thought, she's been all occupied trying to get her family out of this mess but still can't find any clue.

Maybe she just need to clear her mind off everything for just this once.

Maybe she should just let her heart out...who knows, she might be able to think straight and get something good.

"Fine." Ariane said with a smile which made jenny jump in and hug her.

"I promise that you won't regret this evening." She said.

"Okay, okay. Let's go prepare then." Ariane said as she pulled out of the hug.

~ Meanwhile ~

In a vast, airy space, illuminated by soft lighting creating captivating shadows.

The walls were covered in vintage posters that projected a sense of mystery and nostalgia.

A tiny bar gleams at one end of the space, its polished surface reflecting the gentle light from the chandelier overhead.

The room was alive with the clatter of pinballs and the electronic symphony of the pinball machine.

Eliot and Elian, their faces illuminated by the flashing lights, engaged in a fierce battle of skill and precision.

Emery simply sat in a dimly lit corner,

his fingers caressing the guitar strings, producing a haunting melody that added a touch of melancholy to the vibrant atmosphere.

"Didn't expect you to be this serious in this game." Eliot said as he saw Elian preparing to strike the ball.

"Been a long while I did this, just wanted to maintain my victory that all. GAME OVER" he said as he finally won while Eliot went to seat on the couch close to Emery.

Moving towards the bar, Elian reached over the counter and grabbed a glass cup and some pricey wine.

He then walked over to the couch where Eliot and Emery were, sat down, and poured himself some wine.

"Nice music, a new one?" Elian asked Emery who was quietly striking his guitar strings.

"Mn, still working on it. You guys done with your game? So soon?" Emery asked as he stopped playing the guitar.

"Well, your brother decided to escalate the situation, as if I were his enemy." Elian smirked as Eliot said that.

"Just accept your defeat, besides, we are really in a lot of mess right now. Grandfather has made us stay here, he's really serious about getting great grandchildren."

"And I'm not ready to get married, still haven't found the right person." Eliot responded while Emery remained silent.

"Oh you are waiting for a special someone? Who knows, perhaps she's tied the knot." Elian said, grinning a little.

"Ooh, who's the lucky lady bro? why haven't I heard about her." Emery said with a bright smile while Eliot glared at Elian.

Elian chuckled and took some wine.

"Just some childhood friend of our Eldest brother. Just forget about her and move on, brother; as the first son, you need to provide our parents with an heir, and mom would not want Emery to take on that responsibility for you."

Eliot then narrowed his eyes.

"And what about you? "You do not just need to fuck girls; why can't you settle down for a change?

"Like I said, I hate women. If I had my way, then I wouldn't want to touch them but my manly desires always kicks in. I'm not some dude who is ready to have a family that's why I have two more brothers." Elian said with a smile which made Emery sigh.

"I can only feel mom's pain. You two are so unbelievable. Why do you always have to argue when a girl is in the question? I really do not mind being the only son to continue the family's line but still, it makes it look like our parents investment is gone."

Emery spoke, which caused the other two brothers to remain silent for a brief moment before Elian spoke.

"That's why we have you." He said as he stood up, walking towards Emery.

"Mn, do you already have a girl? Who is that? Our little brother is growing up." Eliot said as he also stood up, walking towards Emery who was both confused and shocked.

"W-why are you both coming towards me. I didn't say that I have a g-girl."

"Finally, my virgin little brother is going to bring a girl home." Elian said and so, Emery stood up, trying to run away from them

"I didn't say that! Wait, this is wrong. You both agreed to bring a girl home, you can't push it all on me?" Emery stuttered which made both his elder brothers stop in their tracks.

Just then, the butler walked in.

"Good evening young masters, A family meeting has been scheduled for first thing tomorrow morning by the chairman." The butler said with a bow before walking away.

"Urggh, what else does he want to say?!" Elian growled and slouched on the couch .
