Cheng Su and Qi Taiguo rushed to the hospital; Hualing hadn't left yet, seemingly waiting for her to come. But seeing Qi Taiguo there too, Hualing was stunned for a moment and pulled Cheng Su aside.
"Why did you bring him too?" Hualing seemed a bit flustered and a bit embarrassed.
She had told Cheng Su that this was a matter for women; what was the point of bringing Qi Taiguo along?
Cheng Su purposely said, "If I don't bring him, how can we start tearing into it?"
Hualing became more awkward and said, "Why not wait until it's clear before saying anything? What if we've got it wrong, wouldn't that be mortifying?"
"Aren't you just waiting to see my joke?" Cheng Su replied with a half-smile.
Hualing's thoughts were exposed, and her face turned red with anger as she said, "Cheng Su, don't be like this, I'm saying this for your own good!"
