Wufu stepped out of the main house only to hear a series of muffled sobs coming from behind. She sighed helplessly and looked up at the sky in resignation.
"What is Love in this world?" she thought. "The lovelorn suffer the most, as Madam Zhou shows."
She slowly returned to her room, where Purple Jade and the others were busy packing for the journey. Only Hongyu seemed somewhat downcast.
"What's wrong? That little face is all fallen," Wufu teased as she pinched Hongyu's chubby cheeks.
Hongyu glanced at her, then hung her head and said, "This time, this servant cannot accompany miss on her trip."
Wufu uttered a sound of realization and said, "This trip to Changan is for serious matters, not for leisure. You have no Kung Fu skills, so you can't come along. I will take you on a trip some other time."
Hongyu knew she was not as capable as her elder sisters and was younger; tagging along might only hold them back, so she obediently nodded her head.
