Ever since seeing the wolf devouring people, Ah Jiu seemed out of sorts, exuding an icy aura that made people hesitant to approach.
Wufu stepped forward, motioning for them to proceed while she herself glanced at his expression and asked, "What's got you upset?"
Ah Jiu paused, looking at her.
"If you feel it's too dangerous and don't want to go in, we can go back," said Wufu.
"You know I'm not afraid of these things," Ah Jiu replied.
"Then what's the matter?"
Ah Jiu sighed, reached out, and plucked a small white leaf from her head, saying, "I just don't like hearing those kinds of words from you."
"What?" Wufu asked, a bit puzzled.
"You said if it were you, you wouldn't want to be left out in the open... I don't like hearing that," Ah Jiu stated.
Wufu was taken aback and chuckled, "I was just speaking casually, but you've taken it to heart."
"Whether you mean it or not, I don't like hearing it," Ah Jiu held her face and said, "Promise me you won't say those things anymore."
