Purple Jade walked out of Madam Zhou's room, with Qiu Xiang following behind her, ostensibly to see her out, but both were well aware there was more to discuss.
Glancing back at the main house, Purple Jade pulled Qiu Xiang aside and quietly asked, "Is Madam expecting?"
Qiu Xiang was taken aback for a moment, but quickly understood what she was asking, eyes widening, "How did you know?"
Purple Jade frowned and said, "I smelled the fetus-preserving medicine."
Though she wasn't as skilled in medicine as Jadeite, she knew some basic medical knowledge from her time as a Hidden Guard. When she entered the room, she smelled it and initially brushed it off, but after seeing Madam Zhou gently touching her abdomen, what else could it be?
Qiu Xiang was a bit surprised but still nodded, "It's been two months already."
Purple Jade drew a sharp breath, "Why hasn't a letter been sent to Changan?" It's been two months, they should have known by now.
