Anthony and Vega sat together, scrolling through their phones, laughing at intervals as they came across various outrageous comments online from whatever social platform they were on. Kingsley, for the most part, simply sat in silence, his gaze fixed on the transparent glass of the military aircraft as it tore through the endless void of the galaxy.
His golden eyes glimmered faintly, reflecting the countless stars and vibrant nebulas that streaked past them in radiant waves of color. As a man who had lived for more than a century, he could hardly recall the last time he had even touched a phone. To him, such mortal creations were little more than distractions, mundane toys that served no purpose for beings of their level.
But, even now, he couldn't understand why Anthony and Vega still found joy in using them.
As the three of them sat together, a sharp mechanical chime broke through the air.
Beep.
