Lucian Darkheart maintained a calm expression, but his mind was spinning with thoughts that refused to settle. Prior to his reincarnation, he hadn't finished reading Might As Well Be OP. The Author was still writing the book at the time, and thus there had been no way to read it to completion before his rebirth. Yet whether the Author had finished it now, he did not know. Had the Author started a new book? That, too, remained a mystery.
'Such a twist,' he mused silently as the Overseer's words echoed through the hall. He had no idea what the Author was thinking in introducing a Galaxy level battle and battlefield, yet for some inexplicable reason, he found himself intrigued, almost excited.
The challenge of the unknown always fascinated him, and the prospect of witnessing, and potentially participating in, a conflict on such an unimaginable scale stirred a rare spark of curiosity.
