Chapter 21 - chapter 21 : When the Curse Screams Abdelwahid’s Name"

With agonising slowness—moving in a way you only see in true horror films—Agatha turned toward Georgia. Blood streamed from her eyes like cursed tears as she said in a rasping voice:

"And you are next… your branch is waiting for you. Even the Sacred Tree feels that your time has come."

Georgia smirked mockingly.

"And who are you to decide my fate? I won't die in this game, and I will never become part of that tree."

Alfonzo shouted:

"Run, my lady! I'll stall her!"

Agatha let out a dark, mocking laugh.

"Shut up… you couldn't even save yourself from Abdelwahid's sword. If he hadn't come to pull it out, you'd still be pinned there, dying of hunger. That bastard… a heartbreaker, yes—but with principles. And his methods of killing would never cross your mind."

She wiped a line of blood from her cheek and continued coldly:

"Where were we? Ah, yes… Georgia, you know the rules of the Sacred Game."

Georgia lowered her gaze slightly.

"Yes…"

Agatha smiled—a twisted, chilling smile.

"Good. To break the curse of the game, one of you must die… and the killer becomes the next host inside the game. It will be either you… Abdelwahid… or that new girl."

The harsh words echoed inside Georgia's mind like a warning bell, striking again and again until fear settled deep within her chest. With Agatha's final whisper:

"The game must always have a host…"

the ghostly figure dissolved and vanished completely.

Without hesitation, Georgia rushed toward Mido's room.

On her way, she stumbled upon James and Christina locked in a passionate kiss. She stopped abruptly and snapped:

"Not the time! This isn't a game anymore."

She walked off, muttering under her breath, leaving the couple exchanging confused glances, unable to grasp what she meant.

Georgia stepped into Mido's room. Serena was asleep, and Mido was praying, reciting the final tashahhud. She sat quietly on the couch, waiting.

When he finished, she said softly:

"May God accept your prayer."

Mido folded the prayer rug aside and smiled:

"Amen, Lord of the worlds."

He sat opposite her, lit a cigarette, took a slow drag, then sipped his coffee with that familiar, unwavering affection before asking:

"So, what brings you here, Georgia?"

Her voice trembled slightly:

"The house… and the Sacred Tree have sent us a message. And you know exactly what I mean."

He raised an eyebrow:

"Oh? And who was the messenger this time?"

She answered:

"Your ex… or, considering your chaotic history, one of your victims: Agatha."

A trace of regret crossed his eyes.

"Ah… I truly loved that girl. And what happened was beyond my control—you know that."

Georgia leaned forward, her tone softer:

"I know… and I thought maybe I'd get a chance with you before we all die."

Mido let out a faint, weary smile:

"I had beautiful days with you. But I won't let her die And you… you deserve a chance to live, and to love again. I will be the next host."

The words hit her like thunder. Her eyes widened.

"You know what that means for the rules of the game!"

Mido nodded, calm and resolute:

"I know. But first… we have to drive Agatha out of Serena's body."

Georgia stared at him in shock and confusion before saying:

"And how exactly are you planning to do that, you wicked man?"

She let out a soft laugh, trying to lighten the tension.

Mido replied with a mischievous grin:

"I do have a method… but it's not exactly suitable for a beautiful woman like you."

Georgia raised an eyebrow playfully:

"Oh? I thought that side of you died ages ago."

He smirked:

"It never died… and even if it did, it would rise again the moment it sees nature's beauty shaped as a woman."

She shook her head, failing to hide her smile:

"You know exactly what you're doing… you sly bastard."

He shrugged innocently:

"What can I say? Sometimes when I see beauty… I act without thinking."

Georgia sighed:

"You're about to make me fall for you all over again."

He leaned in slightly:

"And what's stopping you?"

She answered with sudden seriousness:

"You already have a girlfriend."

Mido glanced toward Serena:

"She's possessed. Even if we got married, she wouldn't realise it. How about we… get married?"

Georgia's mouth fell open in shock, words abandoning her completely.

But the silence shattered when she noticed Serena sitting upright in a strange, rigid posture, eyes closed yet radiating a heavy presence.

Fear crept into Georgia's chest.

Mido, however, smirked:

"my love… would you mind if I married Georgia?"

In an instant ,Serena lunged at him with an inhuman movement, hands shooting toward his throat to strangle him.

Before her fingers could tighten around his neck, Mido caught her wrists with a steady, almost casual strength, lifting her off the ground as her body writhed unnaturally.

Georgia screamed:

"Mido! That's not her—she's..."

He cut her off, eyes locked on Serena's distorted face:

"I know… this isn't Serena."

His gaze darkened, voice deepening into something ancient—something dangerous:

"Agatha… get out of her body."

Serena's entire frame convulsed violently.

The air thickened around them, as though something was being torn out from inside her.

A distorted voice rasped through her throat:

"I… won't… leave… unless… he… dies…"

Mido smiled coldly:

"I'm not dying tonight… but you are leaving."

He placed his fingers gently on her forehead and began murmuring words Georgia couldn't understand—but she felt their power.

Serena screamed not with her own voice, but with the voice of a woman consumed by rage, heartbreak, and obsession:

"ABDULWAHED!"

Then—A violent shriek tore through the room, shaking the walls, before Serena collapsed unconscious into Mido's arms.

Georgia could only stand there, staring at him, terrified…and impossibly drawn to him
