Soon, they discovered that many red lights appeared in the direction where Gary and the others were running. These were the glowing eyes of angry Kabuto. Fortunately, those following Gary and his group were all Kabuto, and there weren't any particularly strong opponents among them.

Seeing this scene, Ash immediately ran to the front, while Gary and Green also stepped forward to help.

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Ash called out.

"Electabuzz, use Discharge!" Gary commanded.

"Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf!" Green ordered.

The three of them attacked simultaneously. Both Electric and Grass-type moves were super effective against the Rock/Water-type Kabuto. The combined assault from all three Pokemon created an amazing burst of power that swept across the area ahead.

Explosions continued to sound as the attacks sent the Kabuto in front of them flying. A gap opened in the path ahead, but they could hear movement behind them as well.

Ash turned around and looked back, discovering many red lights flashing in the darkness. The Kabuto from behind were also catching up to them.

"You go first!" Upon seeing this, Ash signaled Misty and Gary's female companions to leave ahead of them.

"Pikachu, use Electro Ball!" Ash called out.

Then he looked upward and gave the command. After hearing the order, Pikachu followed Ash's gaze, swung its tail to condense electricity into an Electro Ball, and then hurled it toward the cave ceiling ahead.

The Electro Ball flew directly toward the cave's ceiling, struck the stone wall above, and exploded with tremendous force. The rocks above collapsed instantly.

Upon seeing this, Ash quickly stepped back. The falling rocks blocked the passage completely. Although it probably wouldn't be able to trap these Pokemon that might have been living underground for tens of thousands of years, it would at least delay them.

Everyone quickly retreated and followed Gary back to their previous location.

The area where they found themselves was quite spacious. This place was very similar to the chamber Ash had discovered at the beginning, with the top sealed by large rocks.

In addition to the direction everyone had run from, there was another passage nearby. This was the route Gary and his friends had taken before, where they had also been chased by a large group of Kabuto.

"What should we do now?" Everyone knew that if they continued running like this, they might encounter even more fossil Pokemon.

"If we can open the top, we should be able to get out, but we'll need Flying-type Pokemon to carry everyone up!" Ash analyzed the situation in front of him and looked up at the ceiling. They were sealed in by rocks that had been smashed together. The main solution would be to break through the top and escape that way.

However, it would require Flying-type Pokemon capable of carrying everyone. Although everyone present was a Trainer, there weren't many Flying-type Pokemon among them.

"I have Fearow!" Gary announced.

"I don't have a Flying-type, but Ivysaur should be able to help! But I can only take two people at a time," Green said.

Green and Gary both spoke at the same time. Gary had Fearow, which wasn't large enough to carry people normally, but its strength was considerable. It could fly up while gripping people in its talons.

Green had Ivysaur, and Ivysaur's Vine Whip would theoretically be more useful than Flying-types in this situation. Ivysaur had four Vine Whips, but could only bring two people at a time, while Fearow could only carry one person.

"I have Geodude!" Brock also chimed in. Onix wouldn't be suitable for this situation since the height was too great, but he had Geodude. Although Geodude was small, it was very powerful and could float without any problem.

"Scyther, Pidgeotto, come out!" Ash threw his Poke Balls, releasing Scyther and Pidgeotto.

Scyther had no problem flying while holding a person. Although Pidgeotto wasn't very large, it was definitely strong enough and could fly up while carrying someone.

"We'll need to make two trips. Those without Pokemon should go out first!" Ash glanced at Gary's group.

Originally, one trip would have been enough, but because Gary had brought so many female companions, they would have to send them away first.

Since they were older and heavier than the others, this situation was more troublesome to manage.

After hearing Ash's words, Gary felt for the first time that traveling with a group of girls in such a showy way had consequences. In a situation like this, if he were alone, he wouldn't have to worry about protecting them.

So for the first time, Gary realized that traveling with such a large group wasn't necessarily a good thing. His grandfather, Professor Oak, had warned him about this before, but he hadn't taken it seriously.

What he saw now was that without them, his companions could escape immediately, but because of them, he was putting his friends in danger.

Although Ash and the others didn't think this way, Gary himself had such thoughts weighing on his mind.

"Pikachu, use Electro Ball!" Ash commanded.

"Ivysaur, use Energy Ball!" Green called out.

"Electabuzz, use Thunderbolt!" Still lost in thought, Ash and Green had already started to take action. After hearing the attacks being called, Gary quickly signaled his Electabuzz to join the offensive.

BOOM!

There was a tremendous explosion as an amazing force erupted. The stacked stones above suddenly collapsed. Everyone had already found positions to take cover in advance. As the stones fell down, soon light from above began to shine through the opening.

"Let's move now!" Ash signaled quickly when he saw this, then directed Scyther and the others to take action.

Counting all the Pokemon, there were exactly enough to send all of Gary's female companions out first. Scyther, Pidgeotto, Fearow, Ivysaur, and Geodude began moving into action.

Each Pokemon took one person, while Ivysaur used its four Vine Whips to carry two people, making exactly six people who started to ascend. At this moment, Misty, who was standing behind them, suddenly heard a sound.

"They're coming!" Misty took a few steps back in panic as she saw the dense cluster of glowing eyes.

ROAAAAAR!

Waves of roars echoed through the chamber. The previous blockage seemed to have made them even more angry. Groups of Kabuto began pouring out of the passage, taking the lead.

Some moved along the ground in front, while others crawled directly along the walls. They were densely packed and made everyone feel uneasy. Kabuto's appearance resembled a horseshoe crab, and it felt even more frightening when they were crawling on the walls.

At the same time, Kabutops, Omanyte, and Omastar also appeared one after another, in even greater numbers than before.

"How can there be so many?" Misty subconsciously took a few more steps back.

"Come to the back and get ready to go up as soon as they come down!" Seeing this, Ash quickly pulled Misty toward the back and spoke to the remaining group.

CLACK CLACK CLACK!

At this moment, the fossil Pokemon in front of them stopped being cautious and launched a direct attack when they saw Ash and the others.
