"Ivysaur!"

"Ivy! Ivy! Ivy!"

At the same time Venusaur stood to its full height, the surrounding lights began to fade and disperse. Misty and Brock looked around in amazement and suddenly realized that all the Bulbasaur had successfully completed their evolution.

They had all evolved into Ivysaur and now turned toward Ash and his companions, staring at them with intense, unwelcoming gazes.

After sensing the obvious hostility in the air, Pikachu and the other Pokemon also looked around with wary expressions, clearly on edge and ready for potential conflict.

"Venusaur!"

At that moment, a deep, rumbling growl echoed through the clearing, accompanied by heavy, thunderous footsteps as Venusaur slowly walked down from the ancient tree stump.

After hearing their leader's commanding voice, all the newly evolved Ivysaur respectfully stepped back and moved away, creating a large open space in the center of the clearing. At the same time, the mysterious light surrounding Ash's Ivysaur finally disappeared completely.

Ivysaur's expression returned to normal as Ash lowered his hand after feeling the energy connection fade. Venusaur approached directly toward Ivysaur, Ash, and the others with purposeful steps.

"Venusaur!"

The massive Pokemon roared in Ivysaur's direction with clear challenge in its voice. Ivysaur was slightly startled when it heard the call, then quickly lowered its posture into a battle-ready stance. Its eyes flashed with determination as it looked solemnly at the imposing Venusaur before it.

Venusaur's normally sleepy-looking eyes gradually revealed an unmistakable fighting spirit, and its right forefoot scraped slightly against the ground in preparation.

"Is this Venusaur actually going to fight Ivysaur?" Misty couldn't help but speak up with concern.

"It seems like evolution is some kind of sacred ritual for them. Maybe Ivysaur's choice not to evolve has angered it!" Brock guessed after observing the tense situation.

"Why does it matter? Shouldn't it be Ivysaur's own choice whether it evolves or not?" Misty seemed genuinely confused by the confrontational atmosphere.

Ash remained silent for a moment. Looking at Venusaur's determined expression, he could clearly sense its fighting spirit and competitive nature. He glanced down at Ivysaur beside him.

"Ivysaur, do you want to battle?"

Even though it hadn't evolved, as long as an opponent issued a challenge, and as long as Ivysaur wanted to fight, Ash would support its decision without hesitation.

"Ivysaur!"

Ivysaur listened to Ash's supportive words and walked forward slowly without showing any fear. It understood that whether it had evolved or not, it would eventually have to face this confrontation.

Venusaur wanted to prove to Ivysaur that after evolving, it would definitely be stronger than choosing not to evolve.

"Alright! Let's defeat it together, and then we'll evolve on our own terms!" Feeling Ivysaur's unwavering determination, Ash stood up and spoke with complete seriousness.

"Ivysaur!"

Ivysaur responded with equal fighting spirit. Yes, it didn't want to rely on external forces to evolve. Even if it eventually chose to evolve, it had to defeat this opponent first and prove itself.

"Venusaur!"

Seemingly sensing Ivysaur's rebellious thoughts, Venusaur appeared somewhat angry and let out a deep, rumbling roar. Several vine-like appendages as fast as lightning suddenly extended from the massive flower on its back.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The sound of air being sliced filled the clearing. Looking carefully, anyone could see that these were Vine Whip attacks coming at incredible speed. Each of Venusaur's vine whips was about four fingers wide.

The speed at which they cut through the air created continuous whistling sounds, and their power was quite impressive to witness.

"Ivysaur, dodge!"

Ash immediately gave the command. After hearing the order, Ivysaur quickly jumped backward, dodging continuously and cleverly avoiding Venusaur's initial Vine Whip assault.

After successfully avoiding Venusaur's first four Vine Whips, Ash seized the opportunity to counter-attack.

"Use Razor Leaf!"

Taking advantage of the brief opening, Ivysaur released its attack. Countless sharp leaves transformed into dart-like projectiles and flew directly toward Venusaur's position.

"Venusaur!"

However, just as the Razor Leaf attack flew toward its target, two additional Vine Whips emerged from the front, rushing forward at extremely high speed to intercept the leaf barrage head-on.

When the thick, powerful Vine Whips collided with the spinning Razor Leaf attack, the overwhelming force directly scattered and deflected all the leaves.

"Ivy!"

"Ivysaur!"

Two Vine Whips struck Ivysaur's body directly, and Ivysaur was knocked backward uncontrollably. Ash was genuinely surprised by what he witnessed. These two Vine Whips were completely different from the previous four attacks.

The power behind these Vine Whips was incredibly strong. This demonstrated the clear advantage that Venusaur possessed. After evolving into Venusaur, it had gained an absolute power advantage over its pre-evolved form.

Even the simplest Vine Whip attack could be devastatingly powerful, and the air pressure it generated could easily deflect a Razor Leaf attack.

Ash realized he had overlooked an important detail. In the Bulbasaur evolutionary line, the number of Vine Whips available increased after evolution, but the first two stages had fixed limitations.

However, things were completely different after evolving into Venusaur. The number of Vine Whips that Venusaur could produce depended entirely on its own growth level and experience.

The more it had grown and trained, the more Vine Whips it could use simultaneously. Therefore, the number of Vine Whips was like the growth rings of an ancient tree. A larger number meant that the Pokemon was stronger and had developed more completely.

The Venusaur standing before them possessed such extraordinary power, which meant its strength had reached an incredibly high level. It was almost impossible to estimate how many Vine Whips it could produce, and they had to be prepared for anything.

"Ivysaur, are you okay?" Ash asked with concern. Ivysaur immediately regained its balance and focused its gaze on Venusaur with renewed determination.

Venusaur glanced at Ivysaur with what appeared to be contempt, then prepared to attack again. More Vine Whips burst forth, and this time it seemed there would be no holding back.

Vine Whips emerged from behind the massive flower like a peacock spreading its magnificent tail feathers. Nine separate Vine Whips burst out simultaneously, cutting through the air and covering the battlefield like an enormous net.

"Watch every attack carefully and dodge them!" Ivysaur had its own advantages compared to Venusaur. Ivysaur's body was significantly more flexible and agile.

Facing the overwhelming assault, Ivysaur listened carefully to Ash's guidance and continuously avoided the Vine Whips that moved as fast as spears and struck with similar deadly precision.

However, Venusaur had too many Vine Whips at its disposal. After several were successfully dodged by Ivysaur, a few more separated to block Ivysaur's escape routes, and then the remaining whips were directed toward Ivysaur's position.

"Use Vine Whip to launch yourself up!" Ash's reaction was extremely quick, and he was determined not to make the same tactical mistake twice.

"Ivysaur!"

Ivysaur reacted with equal speed and precision. It extended its own Vine Whip, struck the ground firmly, and launched its entire body high into the air, successfully avoiding the final coordinated attack.

Venusaur had a look of genuine astonishment on its face when it witnessed this maneuver, clearly having never seen this type of creative fighting technique before.

This aerial mobility was Ivysaur's specialty, and with Venusaur's massive size and weight, it simply couldn't use this same fighting style effectively.
