"Ha! No matter how many schemes you plan, I will be there to destroy them!" Ash declared boldly as he and Giovanni locked eyes, his determination matching the Team Rocket leader's intimidating presence without backing down an inch.
Giovanni narrowed his eyes slightly as he listened to Ash's defiant words, then slowly turned around and walked toward his subordinate standing nearby.
"What an irritating little brat. Although I'm somewhat pressed for time, since you've managed to defeat so many of my operatives, it would seem rather unreasonable not to give them some form of payback!" Giovanni said with cold calculation.
As Giovanni spoke, he approached his subordinate, who immediately understood what was expected of him. The Team Rocket member quickly lifted the metallic briefcase with his other hand and opened it, revealing four Poké Balls nestled inside custom foam padding.
"Boss, he's just a kid! There's no need to waste valuable time on this!" his subordinate protested, even though he had obediently opened the case as instructed.
Without saying a word, Giovanni reached into the box and picked up one of the Poké Balls, then turned back around to face Ash.
"He is not just any ordinary brat. He is a brat who defeated my forces all the way to this location and managed to stimulate my competitive instincts!" Giovanni explained with a dangerous smile.
Giovanni kept one hand casually in his pocket while holding the Poké Ball with the other hand, then threw it onto the floor with practiced ease.
"Come forth!"
Blue light blazed brilliantly, and a Pokémon covered in light blue scales materialized before them. It had a body structure similar to a powerful dinosaur, with enormous ears, strong bipedal legs built for combat, a thick and muscular tail, and a sharp horn protruding from its jawbone.
The entire creature radiated raw physical power and strength. This was Nidoqueen, a formidable Ground-type Pokémon.
"Double Kick!" Giovanni commanded without hesitation.
Facing Ash directly in front of him, Giovanni launched his attack immediately. Nidoqueen's eyes became focused and intense upon hearing the command, and she suddenly stomped her massive foot down, causing the entire floor beneath them to crack and buckle.
"Nido!"
Then Nidoqueen suddenly launched herself into the air. Although she appeared heavy and bulky, her jumping ability was remarkably impressive, and she rushed directly toward Ash's position.
Her feet, which were larger than Ash's entire head, kicked straight in his direction with devastating force.
"Scyther!"
Upon seeing the immediate danger, Scyther instantly jumped in front of Ash to protect him. The scythes on both of his arms began glowing with brilliant green energy, and he crossed his two blade-arms in front of himself to block the incoming attack.
CRASH!!!
Nidoqueen's powerful kick connected directly with Scyther's crossed blades. With a thunderous impact, Scyther immediately felt tremendous force coursing through his body. His feet sank deep into the ground, causing the floor around him to collapse inward.
Just as Scyther managed to block the first kick, Nidoqueen used his crossed swords as a platform to support her body weight and immediately followed up with her second kick.
BANG!!!!
This second kick struck Scyther directly in the face. Under the impact of such incredible force, Scyther was launched backward through the air. His body flew across the office and crashed into the wall with such violence that the entire wall instantly crumbled and collapsed.
Thick dust and debris filled the air, completely engulfing Scyther's position. Ash's expression changed noticeably as he witnessed his Pokémon take such devastating damage.
Although Ash had known for a long time that Giovanni was an exceptionally powerful trainer, he seemed to have still underestimated the Team Rocket leader's capabilities. Fighting-type moves were typically not very effective against Bug and Flying-type Pokémon like Scyther.
Yet the attack had been overwhelmingly powerful. As Ash watched the smoke gradually dissipate, he could see Scyther's body embedded deeply in the broken wall, one eye closed and breathing heavily with obvious exhaustion.
After fighting his way through the entire facility, Scyther had already consumed considerable energy, and this Nidoqueen's strength was far beyond normal levels. In his current condition, Scyther would not be able to continue as an effective opponent.
"Thank you, Scyther. Come back and get some well-deserved rest!" Ash said with genuine appreciation for his Pokémon's efforts.
At the same time, he pulled out a Poké Ball to recall Scyther. Although his loyal Pokémon hadn't completely lost his ability to fight, continuing to battle in this weakened condition would not lead to victory.
"I thought this might be somewhat challenging, but this is your only level of skill?" Giovanni looked at Ash with eyes that seemed genuinely disappointed.
It was strange—normally when defeating an opponent's Pokémon, he should feel satisfaction and triumph. However, there seemed to be an indescribable feeling of letdown growing in his heart instead.
Snap!
"Nido!"
Giovanni snapped his fingers commandingly, and Nidoqueen immediately rushed directly toward Ash's unprotected position. Seeing this aggressive move, President Silph was genuinely shocked. He wanted to shout out a warning to tell Ash to be careful, but there wasn't enough time to speak.
WHOOSH!!!
However, at that critical moment, Ash calmly threw another Poké Ball with practiced precision, and brilliant light began flashing from it. Giovanni looked in Ash's direction and noticed that the young trainer appeared completely calm and showed no signs of fear despite his previous defeat.
With a tremendous flash and burst of energy, a massive figure appeared directly in front of Ash. Nidoqueen was in mid-leap when she was suddenly blocked by the imposing figure that had materialized before her.
"ROOOOOAAAAR!!!!"
In the blazing light, an absolutely incredible roar suddenly filled the entire office, and then the new Pokémon collided directly with Nidoqueen. As the brilliant light dispersed, Giovanni could clearly see an orange-colored figure with powerful wings spread wide in an intimidating display.
A pair of razor-sharp claws extended simultaneously, directly grabbing Nidoqueen's hands that had been prepared to attack Ash moments before.
Gripping both of Nidoqueen's arms firmly, both Pokémon fell heavily from their airborne collision. The moment the two powerful creatures landed, the ground beneath their feet instantly shattered and cracked apart.
At this moment, the arms of both Pokémon were locked tightly together, and it was evident from their constantly trembling limbs that both sides were engaged in an intense wrestling match, testing each other's raw physical strength.
Nidoqueen displayed a surprised expression, clearly not expecting such resistance. The Charizard standing before her had sharp, piercing eyes that seemed to contain actual flames burning within them. His expression revealed absolute confidence and an almost intimidating sense of dominance.
"CHAR!!!"
The two opponents continued their strength contest, and suddenly Charizard let out a powerful roar that released bursts of intense hot air. Giovanni's eyes narrowed slightly when he witnessed this display, and upon hearing Charizard's commanding roar, his heart became unconsciously restless and agitated.
Charizard gripped Nidoqueen's arms firmly with both of his claws, then pulled his body backward with tremendous force. Only then did Nidoqueen realize that her opponent possessed greater physical strength than herself, and her body was unconsciously pulled forward against her will.
When Charizard pulled Nidoqueen toward him, his superior height gave him a significant advantage. As he dragged Nidoqueen downward, he directly drove his head forward in a devastating headbutt attack.
CRACK!!!
With a thunderous impact, Charizard's head struck Nidoqueen's forehead with incredible force. At the same moment, Charizard released his grip on her arms, and Nidoqueen's body was sent reeling backward uncontrollably.
Giovanni was genuinely surprised when he witnessed this impressive display of power. This Charizard was completely different from the Scyther that had battled moments before. If he became even slightly careless, even Giovanni himself could potentially face a humiliating defeat.
"Nido!"
Nidoqueen staggered backward several steps and shook her head slightly to clear the dizziness. Even though her skin was naturally tough and resilient, the spot where she had been struck was visibly reddened from the impact. Her eyes flashed with sharp anger, and she appeared to have been genuinely enraged by Charizard's bold attack.
