Meanwhile, Han Zhan leaned closer to Han Xin, a frown creasing his forehead. "Why do I have to go with Little Bai?" he whispered, glancing back at the younger man. Little Bai stood with the twins, his dark hair catching the sunlight as they chatted animatedly.
"He's your responsibility now," Han Xin replied, his tone firm but laced with a hint of amusement.
Han Zhan sighed, running a hand through his hair. He didn't actually mind Little Bai. The man was quiet and easy to get along with. Yet, there was an undeniable weight to the situation. Little Bai had a habit of following him everywhere, almost as if he were attached like a prison wife.
Every time Han Zhan told him to stay behind, Little Bai would look at him with those puppy dog eyes. It left Han Zhan helpless, unable to resist the pull of those innocent gazes.
