"It tastes very good, Your a good cook Claris" said Rein, complementing her cooking.
After hearing this from Rein, she felt the tingling sensation and was overjoyed that made her blush like an apple in front.
"W-well it's my cooking after all, Ahaha"
henceforth they started to eat Claris cooking, meanwhile Claude and Gen felt forgotten and left out due to the sweet scene of Rein and Claris.
the night ends therefore the morning comes where there are sounds of various birds singing as the sun rises, they woke up.
"Okay, Let's go to the capital!" said Gen excitedly.
his vigor to travel to the capital and see some fantasy like stuff was great enough to force others, Therefore they started their outing to the royal capital.
They visited many kinds of shops until they stumbled a gloomy house, and it made them feel the eerie presence somewhere inside the ruined building.
without wasting another second, Claude walked past leading everyone, however Gen stopped for a moment until Claude calls him to avoid another trouble.
As they walk by the streets they saw some caged person with an iron collar with chains binding their will, leaded by some Merchants with their armed bodyguards.
"What are those?" Rein asked hinting a mad expression.
"Oh. Those are... slaves, All of them were in huge debt or crimes so they were sentenced to be slaves to serve or be executed" Claris explained.
knowing the information from Claris about the slaves, they felt pity for the slaves, especially Rein who is the most kindest among them.
After a few hours of their outing, two of the knights riding a caravan from the Knight order have been ordered by Captain Galand to call the trio.
"Vice captain Claris, sir Gen, Rein, and sir Claude has been summoned by the captain to the castle!"
after being informed, they departed for the sudden call, After a few moments the trio with Claris arrived at the destination seeing the captain waiting for them.
"Captain Galand, what is it?" Rein asked.
"Oh you all finally arrived, The test of your abilities is now."
"Ehh!...Now?" Gen was surprised, feeling nervous.
"Y-yes... also, the king wanted to watch your tests and abilities... so he will be present, anyway Let's go now, the king is waiting for the three of you"
the trio followed Galand, on a carriage they prepared for the young stars, the noble council awaits, and the Great King who got intrigued by their feat.
A few moments later they are on the palace battle ground with the king and other nobles watching them aside, The place was like a battle stadium with a caged monster on the center, Henceforth the king spoke.
"Gen, Rein, and Claude I received the report of you three defeating and sealing an E-rank demon, Henceforth we wanted to see your abilities and capabilities, Would you allow us to see by defeating a Wild Saber-tooth tiger for each one of you?"
The king spoke, his golden hair and blue eyes were fitting for royalty, a graceful presence and a strong authority.
As the king requested they cannot refuse therefore they agreed, The first to the test is Rein therefore they prepared the stage.
"*the king only spoke a bit, not any grandeur words but rather straight ones, it seems this ruler is pretty good*" Gen thought.
"Are you ready Rein?" The king asked by himself.
"Y-yes your majesty!" Loudly Said by the prepared Rein, however a quivering voice was heard by the King.
"What's wrong young man?" the king asked.
"... it's just-" the king interrupted after seeing Rein's expression.
"It's okay, you feel fear of killing a life, however this Big Cat already took a life of a farmer, a warrior wields his sword to cut his fears and enemy"
Rein felt assurance, he grips his sword tightly with ready eyes.
Henceforth the saber-tooth was unleashed from it's cage, roaring and ready to fight to death with Rein, and so the battle begins.
The saber tooth unleashed it's menacing roar and attacks Rein by it's sharp long fangs however Rein blocked it by his sword the Cleaver. Henceforth Rein used his body enhancement skill to have more strength to match, however the saber-tooth claws are about to strike his body.
"....this tiger is.. very strong" Rein gritted his teeth, holding the tiger's strong attacks.
Rein jumped up into the air to dodge the next claw attack and charged his life energy into his hands midair, preparing the force blast.
As the saber tooth looked up to see Rein, Rein was already finished preparing his force blast therefore he aimed and shoot straight into the saber-tooth.
"Force blast!"
The bluish concentrated energy of life force blasted the saber-tooth which created a violent shock wave of energy explosion like a bomb, and killed the saber tooth instantly from its power.
After seeing the fight, the nobles were shocked and stunned seeing an Specialty that's already extinct is been used by a young man.
The life arts doesn't have any magical and spiritual energy and is a part of history and myths where most noble reads from old books, therefore the nobles knows that's it's not magic nor spiritual but something else like life force from the legends and myths.
The life force arts were known as ancient specialty that people used before. However the life force arts is a lost specialty or lost power with unknown cause, henceforth the current civilization only use magic and spirits.

Therefore the king released the saber-tooth, and for just a few econds, it jumped at Gen directly, attacking with it's searing claws therefore Gen tries blocks it with his mana sword. however Gen is lacking strength to overpower or escape it's fearsome attack, therefore he used his magic "shadow bind" with his ring with the ability to double cast creating double shadow binds spell.
Thanks to his mana bank jacket he has the mana to charge his mana blade and cast some spells, however the saber-tooth skin were too tough for his sword to pierce therefore he had the idea of infusing his attribute to the mana blade.
As the saber tooth is bounded and unable to move, therefore Gen took his time to infuse his mana attribute to his blade, however he were having a hard time because the blade rejects his mana therefore he came to a conclusion to try that only one mana attribute to infuse.
Therefore he infused his mana with the attribute of light, by the thought of purity of light to vanquish his enemy, for a few seconds the mana blade absorbed his energy and the blade were enveloped by a shining light.
However the bounded Saber-tooth has finally unbounded, it's leaped stead fast baring it's sharp fangs and claws, therefore Gen tried to Defend the saber tooth with his blade, as the sword came in contact to the Saber's Skin, it sliced through like cutting a regular meat with a sword, the effects were stronger than he expected and the blade were able to pierce to it's body like a butter.
The king and nobles were impressed by Gen's performance, as he was able to use a mana blade, most magician tends to be less in practical except talented individuals who can wield magic while fighting with a sword, Moreover he has the attribute of light and dark such rarity will even take the attention of most nobles, at such a young age making them think that Gen is a prodigy in magic and may become a great magician was certain.

As the saber-tooth was released from the cage, Claude stepped back and kept his distance far away to cast his spells, he used his book of sorcery spell "flare wave" where the attack hits the saber tooth leaving burns on its fur, however it lacks of fire power therefore he adds "flare burst".
The attacks has made the saber-tooth burn, however it still fights and charges forward even in flames to Claude, with it's sharp claws it attacks while burning, henceforth Claude used his his spell spiritual barrier to block however the spiritual barrier doesn't completely blocks physical attacks therefore it was broken.
within such a second, thanks for the barrier for buying time, he already made a distant in order to reorganize his thoughts.
"*Tsk damn this cat, I don't know anymore if I'm a special character with three spiritual attributes or just a trash character with useless skills, either way I will win*"
At the moment Claude thought of a risky Idea.
"It may be dangerous but it will end the fight early..."
The saber tooth got close to him in seconds however Claude jumped straight at it.
seeing the scene, The king and nobles were surprised and worried as Claude jumped straight to the flaming tiger.
However as Claude jumped straight into it, he used his robe of spirits to pass through any objects including the saber tooth's body, following his plan he used his spell flare while passing through inside my body of the saber-tooth, burning inside it's stomach.

Claude passed through the saber tooth huge body thanks to his robe, with his skill and timing, the saber tooth insides were ignited with flames burning it's inside and outside, the saber tooth passed away in deep agony.

The king faced them, however unlike an oppressing pressure, the trio felt relief as the king somehow showed a sign of his capability.
"How's that? Most rulers outside are only fat bellies and may even try to do everything to get you as slaves"
Claude responded. "we wanted accept your offer however we want freedom, for we have something we must to do, that it will absolutely demand us to step outside this kingdom"
the king pondered. "Alright, then for at least 3 years, you're free to live and learn in here, in exchange, there will be some task I will give to you, and I hereby give you boys a temporary house within the capital to live"
