**Chapter 5: Unexpected Acclaim**

"I've been waiting over ten years for a comic like this. Maybe all the ones I read before were just filler. Who would've thought Captain America started as a scrawny kid transformed into a hero? If they sold that serum, I'd give up everything for it! The author has an incredible imagination. With just one vial of serum, he's overturned decades of my perception of Captain America and reignited my childhood dreams. All I can say is—author, hurry up and draw more!"

As a well-known comic critic, his post quickly drew a flood of comments:

- "The comic is amazing! Who knew Captain America could be this super?"

- "Author, you've changed my outlook on life! I don't believe in science anymore!"

- "The old Captain America was just patriotic propaganda. This one is something else!"

- "I won't sleep tonight—this brought back my belief in fairy tales!"

- "Oh my God, you're right. I need to buy a copy immediately!"

- "It's late already—what if they sell out before I get there?"

- "Can it really be as good as they say? I never imagined Captain America could be this imaginative!"

- "Yo, yo, yo... This is a genuine masterpiece!"

- "I don't know about others, but I'm already in love with Jason Walker!"

- "Jason Walker? That's an American name, isn't it? Oh God, Captain America drawn by an American!"

- "Once upon a time, I believed in science. Then I read Captain America."

By morning, *Captain America: New Beginnings* had swept through New York, turning the hero from a dated symbol of patriotism into a modern legend.

Jason scrolled through the comments, a smile spreading across his face. Closing his laptop, he stretched, feeling the warm sunlight streaming through the window. He had anticipated the comic's success, but not this level of acclaim. Sales projections were through the roof, promising a massive return.

As his stomach growled, Jason realized it was already noon. Deciding to check on lunch, he wandered into John's office—only to find the entire publishing house in chaos.

Phones were ringing nonstop. Employees rushed around, shouting updates.

"Marvel Press. Captain America? Sorry, the first print run of 5,000 copies is sold out! We're ramping up production as fast as we can!"

"Understood. The proofs are approved. Make sure quality is flawless, and get those workers paid overtime!"

Despite the frenzy, a few employees spared a moment to give Jason a quick nod of admiration before diving back into their tasks.

Inside John's office, Jason found him on the phone, his expression a mix of exhaustion and triumph. John gestured for him to sit while continuing his conversation.

"Jim, we've worked together for years—you can't fool me. You've seen the demand. I'm swamped here! Let's do this: as soon as the new comics roll off the press, I'll send them directly to you!"

After a few more pleasantries, John hung up and turned to Jason, his tone brisk.

"What's up?"

Jason hesitated, feeling a little guilty. "It's lunchtime, and I was wondering if my lunch was ready."

The simple question nearly pushed John over the edge. He leaned back, exasperated.

"Lunch? Really? Young Master, do you have any idea what's happening here? Captain America's orders alone will keep us printing for six months! Bookstore owners are breathing down my neck like hungry wolves. I've got to push every printer we own to its limit!"

Jason chuckled awkwardly, backing toward the door. "Sorry to bother you. I'll leave you to it."

Before he could leave, John shook his head and grabbed a thermos and a stack of documents from his desk.

"Here's your lunch—and while you're at it, take these calls from the printing house. Don't think you can dodge your share of the chaos!"

Jason took the thermos and documents, silently vowing not to underestimate the weight of success again. Returning to his office, he dug into his lunch, ready to face the challenges ahead.
