Quinlan laughed, but before the two could lunge at each other, he clapped, and a new hill formed, to which he levitated the two hissing kittens. Before even waiting for them to respond, he rolled the girls out, knowing well that they would force those fiery little heads of theirs to focus once they were back in the fray.
And, indeed, Ayame was right. He didn't pair them up just for his own amusement. He'd been watching his girls very adamantly and noticed that Iris and Ayame made a strangely effective duo.
Not only were both of them sword users, but they were both harboring an insatiable desire for strength. They were some of the best killers in the group with the most honed senses and reactions, which made it so they could keep up with one another in tense situations.
