Her blade hummed with a venomous hiss, the sound of which set teeth on edge. The purple aura spilled outward in a thin mist that tasted of iron and old graves. Soldiers nearest the front heeded Elder Chizuru's words as if they were orders of the Goddess herself, bolting far away from the confrontation.
