Morgana inhaled once, steady and sharp.
"It was the best decision."
Lilith's eyebrow twitched. "Was it?"
"If it was Void who ambushed him instead of me, he would've escaped even easier."
Lilith took a slow step forward, clearly in utter disapproval. "Why are you so sure?"
"Because I'm stronger than her," Morgana answered without hesitation and also took a step forward. Now, the two sisters stood an inch away from one another, chest to chest.
Not caring one bit that she was now facing a visibly enraged swordswoman in melee range, Morgana continued, "And he still managed to slip out. I don't know what that armor of his is, or was, considering its state after taking my hit. But it would've tanked anything Void threw at him."
Her gaze tightened.
