She blinked. "What do you-"
He didn't let her finish.
Quinlan grabbed all of them with a single burst of force and hurled them forward.
Not gently.
Not one bit.
They became screaming projectiles.
The sky tore past them as the ground rushed up at horrifying speed, wind ripping at cloaks and hair. Raika's eyes went wide for half a second.
Then she laughed.
"That's more like it!" she shouted, slamming her fists together mid-air, joints popping as her body aligned instinctively for impact. Her grin stretched sharply and eagerly. "You're still an arrogant bastard, but we speak the same language!"
Behind her, three other figures twisted in the air with terrifying control.
Despite plummeting at extreme velocity, Vex, Orianna, and Black Fang somehow managed to rotate their bodies enough to keep their eyes locked on Quinlan.
Their expressions were no longer merely offended.
They were lethal.
Quinlan winced.
"Use that hatred to fuel your attacks!" he shouted after them.
