Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: chatting

" You know." There's definitely something weird going on with this planet!" To many things are happening all at once, Cody nodded, agreeing, well let's just hope my father as a larger plan up his sleeve, because like it or not his going to lose his children once and for all if this prophesy goes ahead.

That's very true, were having trouble keeping them closed now.

There's not even enough witches to help us anymore?" these women can be such fickle sticks in so many ways even for witches and you know, I'm right!

Mind you I'll be more worried about what joe said, don't you think it's strange, Cody said, that the women lite up like a light bulb, and then there's the aftermath, the mess it coursed through the entire town, it's so strange that this thunder and lightning as cause such a cationic boom like that.

Yeah, it's been one hell of a strange night for all of us, I replied, you know, I wonder how joe felt standing next door to a fire cracker like her after the seen she caused out there.

I bet he had an excellent time with her, I laughed, he did say the woman was a handful, Cody smiled, and his poor leg is just about healed now, well least it won't be stiff forever, I laughed, he did moan for a while back there didn't, he. Anyways, he said ever so slowly, I could tell he was trying to mull over these strange, happening that had been happening to us tonight, right, back to the topic at hand.

Did you notice how the thunder and lightning were attacking each other back there?" yeah, has a matter of fact, it was like to long lost entity's going at it with each other, the light and the dark Cody replied, worriedly, shuddering at the thought of being in close contact with it, even if the sight was the prettiest damn thing he had ever encountered in his short little life and he had lived a millennia of that life already.

I turned my head so suddenly from my friend that I cracked my neck in the process, twisting myself into an orthodox position, hitting my wings as they tilted up at an odd angle and scraping myself up against, Cody's, him grunting out at me in return the racket from a bunch of drunken men driving our attention back to them our own pains forgotten.

There were at least five men in total from my second count as they walked down the next isle, I could tell she didn't no what path to take and it was too dark, I couldn't see most of their body structures even from this distance, looking down at the seine below me, I snorted out a laugh, because they were pissed out of their faces. I sighed shaking my head, looking around to find that the woman had all so disappeared, once again.

Shite," I muttered, turning to, Cody, searching the streets around us in a panic but he was still grunting out at me and swearing quite fluently as he rubbed the edge of his shoulders. Sorry mate, I got a little distracted back there for a moment, I growled,

What by attacking me with you wings tonight, Cody snorted, watching me as he amused himself, I spun around in circles to find something I was missing, "You seemed to be doing a better job than me tonight," I replied, answering him back. These men were staggering back left right and centre as they tripped over their own two feet as a flap of long hair caught my eye, watching the women as she ran down the next patch of the darkened alley.

Disappearing out of my sight, I was glad I spotted her at the last second, wondering what the little woman was up to now, I couldn't help but smile as I stood there and watching

the seen play out as she tried to keep out of their way for as long as possible, it seemed she did that a lot I thought. Or maybe she was hiding something from us, watching as she ducked into the nearest door-way with a

puppy sign hanging out for all of us to see and then she was out of our sights again.

"I didn't know what to do about this woman!" the one that I was frustrated and infatuated with; she was a little puzzle to me; one I was going to need to complete. Cody, turned looking over at me with a cocky smile, my eyes narrowed with my own suspicion.

I've never seen him act like this before, ever, and he was far too interested in this outcome. I listened to him as he replied to me again, I wanted to see what would fly out of that venous fly trap of his, "I think were finely about to find out if this woman is your dark-haired, blue-bird friend of yours, he bellowed for all the world to here... You just couldn't wait for that little piece of information to slip out of your mouth, could you, I laughed, well, in that case, I scoffed out in amusement, let's see what m happens next with my dear old girlfriend down there, I joked, looking straight into my friends eyes with a challenge of my own.

My eyes still narrowed on him, listening to his heavy breathing watching the idiot smirk at me, as he, whispered, another smart remark "Well then, this should be an interesting job for you. Shouldn't it, my friend he muttered out sarcastically, or should I say your next girlfriend, he cackled, " Indeed, I grunted, and you will find yours soon enough, I muttered under my breath," smiling, gritting my teeth together.

You wait till you find your mate, I'm going to tell her all about the whips and chains you so love... OH, don't you dare pull that shite on me, not now, not ever, Damon. I'd so love to have my very own woman one day, one with a fine ass, you know... besides, I know a lot more secrets about you that you don't even remember yourself... AH, were playing the fool card, are we?" I replied, "you'd better watch your back, pretty boy!"

Repeating the strange girls' words back to me as he laughed. Rolling my eyes.

I turned back looking for the woman, only to find a stunning blue haired lady with a gorgeous body to boot. But I couldn't take my eyes of her this time, watching her as she moved in her tight black leathers, fitted corset to match as it all clung to her curved body.

The other lady had completely disappeared, vanished and nowhere in sight. And by the way she swaggered, this woman was oozing confidence that could take on the whole world. Well, Cody mumbled out loud, would you look at that!" I was far too distracted to even speak a word, even to give my friend one of my sly come backs, as I stood there watching the commotion, she turned in our direction and smiled, my eyes widened in shock at her words. "HELLO, Pretty Prince, then turned around and smiled sweetly at the men as they chatted like old friends.

I knew I was being watched the instant I turned the next corner, twisting to the side to take a sneak-peak as I ran towards the next ally and out of sight, my vision swarming with coloured pictures in front of me, nearly knocking me a

little of balance.

They have never proved me wrong so far and this was the worst they've ever been in my entire life showing me exactly where these two men were indeed standing and down lthat was on top of another roof building.

It looked like a large factory, I zoomed in on the spot and they seem to be having a very good old chat amongst themselves from the looks of things. The closer I looked the closer they were to me, my eyes squinting, making them water, I gasped out in surprise at what looked like to me was a pair of giant, red wings. watching both of them flutter with synchronicity as they spread out behind him, they were like a halo, I was insanely jealous of them. One black, and one red, I was starting to think it was all my imagination; shaking my head with a sigh.

Knowing deep down in my soul that these things were surreal and did indeed exist. I Stared at them dead on and they didn't even notice, "I even wandered, how they were attached to their freaking body's," squinting into the darkness, trying to look closer at the pair, how was it all even possible. Grunting out

another sigh, wishing I had a pair just like that. I had a feeling it was the same two men from before and I had the feeling that one in particular was going to be stubborn as a mule.

"Why on earth would they follow a commoner like me? That's when I smiled at the realisation.

"The cleaver buggers," I whispered, watching them as another vision rolled in of five, very drunken men, singing and dancing as they walked down the next ally from me. It's the first time in history that I wasn't sure of what to do.

knowing they were going to be heading in my direction soon enough and that's only a matter of minutes from me. I wasn't sure what I was going to do, even now I was only one person.

I backed myself into another corner, a door to a very old building, looking up at the wood panels that were once windows that were blocked with wooden chipped planks. I knew I couldn't break in and hide in their; I sighed, now I was in an, impossible, Complicated, situation; the realisation was shocking as I stood there sorting out this new dilemma that I was in, I didn't want to give in and surrender, it just wasn't my thing, I didn't want to stand there and do nothing either.

I'm not the coward I once was, if they wanted me on my hands and knees and saying.

Moo-hoo... well, they are highly mistaken, aren't they, whispering, silently, the next thing I could think of, it was my releasing spell to change me from my original form to another. There was no other way around this and for the first time in my life, I was a nervous wreck about it all. I was un-happy and truly trapped on all corners.

I was hoping that the first two would have gotten lost by now, or maybe bored out of their brains and then taken off to do another job, hoping they would have gone away after a while from being bored, or gotten blue balls from the cold, but no, I guessed not, they obviously had nothing else better to do than to

follow me around all night long.

Looks like I was their targets all along, they were right to follow me. feeling my power wash over me, a tingle shot up my spine, suddenly I felt so much better now. "I looked over, then up and up... finding the two men on the edge of the roof, waiting, watching me, chatting away like they were very old school friends. I have to admit that made me smile, because they were too busy chatting to see what I was doing to catch their attention fully.

I only hoped that they didn't see a flash of light as I changed into my assassin form. I was about to break certain promises even to myself, hoping to stick to them for good.

I shuffled out from my hiding spot with my head held high walking into the unknown with my eyes wide open, hoping nobody would even notice me till it was too late, walking by myself, even if I was wearing my tight ass leathers that felt like they were strangling my body, my blood pumping faster though my own veins, my nerves kicking in, I turned suddenly and looked back and smiled.

"HELLO, Pretty Prince, I greeted then turned back, sniggering watching his eyes opened wide in shock, I was now catching up with the drunken men, I felt like I was on speed, it was the need for speed, and if that is the case," I would use my own strength to run if necessary

Sighing, knowing this was going to be a very bad outcome if it went wrong. "Good lord, why me?" I whispered up to the shiny stars hoping they would give me some good advice, but all they did was stay silent as they twinkled back at me. "I should have waited in my corner in the dark, all by my lonesome, it would have

been the best option.

I mumbled, staying back there would have been better for me, waiting for as long as I could, hoping for a better outcome, maybe everybody would go away then, I thought.

Then I could get out of here and go straight home. Even from here, I could hear the staggering of many footsteps, my ears twitching as I listened, these men were coming even closer towards me, I could hear the time ticking in the silence, because they were only seconds away now.

Silently I waited. These men and their laughter; some brought sunshine, rain and the

darkness with it, what was even funnier, I could hear some of them rattling on about their wife's lives.

I smiled at their random wicked thoughts, then there were the others, the single men, the ones I hated, if you could only hear some of the things that they were spewing out of their mouths, right now.

It would make the nearest woman run to the next gutter and park her back side there, but me, it made me wince in pain, because I could hear there damning thoughts, right about now, and that was very worrying, but I couldn't worry

about things like that, right now.

"Their words were so harsh, that it even made my insides curl up, making me feel like I was dying deep inside, with the feeling of sickness like the oncoming of disease, that the bugs just won't go away, I rolled my shoulders like I was preparing for battle, listening to their filthy crap like it was carnage, they were so sick in their head that I thought their brains might burst on impact, and that alone was a worrying thought, and I mean a lot. I was trying to plan it all out in my head, the different scenarios, the outcomes of this situation, honest, I really did, you know," but nothing came to mind, nothing at all and I was starting to get frustrated with myself, I would have been better off staying hidden in my wooden red box, the one I had planned for my funeral that would have been enough for me, though I wouldn't want to bring

that kind of attention to myself.

I would like to wish a merry Christmas to everyone I hope you all take care. Plus I hope most readers like my story so far. :)
