Though Kai's voice was calm and measured, Mina and Jiro couldn't help but shiver as if struck by lightning, which made Nejire and Momo laugh. As Momo poured a cup of coffee for Kai, Nejire turned to the pair of girls and commented with a beautiful smile.
"You don't have to be so scared! Kai-chan isn't scary at all!" Nejire ran over to Kai and, using her index fingers, forced him to smile before looking back at the girls with a bright, incredibly innocent grin.

Mina and Jiro shared the exact same thought as they exchanged bitter smiles. Amused, Momo handed the fresh cup of coffee to Kai, then looked at her friends and commented with a warm smile.
"Kai just wants to see the results of the training. I'm sure you want to see them too, right?"
"Hehe, yeah, we worked really hard." Mina said with a small, shy smile. Jiro nodded and quickly added.
"Harder than ever."
"I like seeing people who value my time, because I hate wasting it." Kai commented casually, then sat down on a sofa with Nejire, holding his cup of coffee.
"Kai, don't scare them." Momo, who was preparing tea, said in a calm voice. Kai turned to her with an innocent expression and replied.
"How could I be scaring them?"
"Don't play dumb." Momo shot back, rolling her eyes. At that moment, Nejire leaned against Kai and cheerfully remarked while looking at Momo.
"Momo, you can't accuse Kai-chan like that! He's not doing anything!"
Momo gave Nejire a skeptical look, to which Nejire responded by sticking out her tongue before resting her head on Kai's shoulder with a joyful smile. But this casual interaction between the trio made Jiro narrow her eyes, while Mina watched them with visible suspicion.
Ever since Momo 'announced' her relationship with Kai, her interactions with Nejire had started to seem increasingly suspicious to the girls. No matter how you looked at it, Nejire was too 'close' to Kai, and while things had been like that before, now Kai was Momo's official boyfriend. Mina added enthusiastically after setting her tea on the table. Kai pulled his cup of coffee away from his lips and commented while calmly looking at the energetic, pink-skinned girl.
"So I'm a 'brute,' huh? Interesting."
"Hehehe, it's just a figure of speech; don't pay attention to it, Saito~" Mina quickly looked at Kai with doe eyes and spoke in an 'adorable' voice, to which Kai rolled his eyes before glancing at the door and calmly announcing.
"Lunch is here."
With the announcement, everyone turned to look, and moments later, a UA staff member arrived pushing a cart full of food.

After lunch, Mina sprawled out on the sofa, stretching lazily, though her gaze never left the trio in front of her. Though Momo was undoubtedly Kai's official girlfriend, as admitted by both of them, seeing Nejire feed Kai with a smile somehow felt incredibly harmonious. There were no fights, no tears, no pain—just a peaceful, happy coexistence, something she had never witnessed before.
But perhaps even more incredible was that Momo didn't seem jealous in the slightest, despite how intensely jealous she had appeared toward the pink-haired girl from the support course during the sports festival. "Nothing! I just wanted you to know that I'm genuinely thankful from the bottom of my heart for what you're doing for me, and I won't let you down! I'm going to be a great hero!"
"Hahaha, I see. I'll look forward to it."
Kai said with a cheerful laugh as Nejire slowly brought a spoonful of pudding closer to him. Jiro, though equally surprised by Mina's sudden outburst, quickly looked at Kai and spoke seriously.
"I'm also very grateful. In fact, all of us are, since we can all see how much stronger we've gotten in these weeks. So, if you need anything and it's within our reach, don't hesitate to ask. Neither I nor any of the others will refuse."
Kai looked at Mina and Jiro's serious expressions for a moment, and a small smile formed on his lips as he spoke in a calm tone.
"Just be heroes. If you can become at least a third of what All Might is, I'll feel my effort was worth it. And as I've said before, you don't need to worry about 'repaying' me for now.
