"What constitutes great merit?" Xu Fu inquired.

Yuyan succinctly remarked, "That's on a large scale. On a smaller scale, it's about bringing clouds and rain, rotating the four seasons, regulating the landscapes and earth veins, organizing the rivers and water vapor. The gods serve in their positions, fulfilling their duties diligently, and they contribute to the heaven and earth of the three realms."
