Cultivation level, once you break through to the realm of the immortals and Buddhas, if you die, the lost soul will fall into the hands of Ksitigarbha, who will arrange matters of reincarnation, which is no longer a secret in the Three Realms and Six Paths.
Therefore, although Ksitigarbha is merely a Bodhisattva rank within the Buddhist Sect, in terms of status and position, many consider him as revered as the Three-World Buddha.
This is a gap filled by the Heavenly Dao, thus beings who have reached the realm of immortals and Buddhas generally cultivate self-preservation divine skills or some treasures capable of self-preservation.
Otherwise, once they die, thousands or tens of thousands years of cultivation would be lost in an instant, which is indeed a great pity.
Though some beings at the immortals and Buddhas realm can be resurrected after death, the resurrection of each immortal and Buddha level strong one surely comes at a great cost.
