"Why?" Jian Dan was full of confusion, her little face etched with disappointment. Her eyes resembled those of a small, aggrieved animal seeking its master's protection. Bo Qin's Adam's apple bobbed, and he chuckled, freeing one hand to pinch her cheek. "Don't be upset. The beach is dangerous with so many people, and look at all these obstacles. Let's just have fun playing around as if we're getting through a routine and not leave behind any regrets. It's better not to try those too thrilling challenges, okay?"
Though Jian Dan felt some disappointment, she let herself be persuaded by Bo Qin and sulked, "Alright then."
"That reluctant? I was planning to delay our return and take you out to sea for a BBQ. Do you not want to go?" Bo Qin feigned a look of regret, and Jian Dan's eyes immediately sparkled.
Twisting around, she grabbed Bo Qin's arm. "Uncle Qin, are you really going to take me out to sea?"
