Han Yingying was amused by Shen's mother's comical appearance and felt the knot in her heart sweep away. Arm in arm with Shen's mother, she walked into the kitchen to make the first meal of her life.
"Yingying, be careful, don't cut your hand!"
"Mom, it's okay; don't worry!"
"Yingying, stand back, don't get burned by the oil!"
"Mom, I won't get burnt; don't worry!"
"Yingying, let me take over quickly..."
...
Shouts of concern from Shen's mother and Yingying's gentle reassurances were intermittently heard from the kitchen.
Anybody who didn't know better would think that the one just learning to cook was Shen's father, and that it was Yingying who had great cooking skills.
After all, their reactions were indeed a bit odd!
Shen's father, listening from the living room, felt his heart palpitate with worry; he couldn't help fretting that something might happen to the two precious women of the house!
