A comforting arm draped over his shoulder, and as Lu Tong turned his head, he only saw Su Shu's calm profile.
"Don't be nervous, everything's going to be fine."
Lu Tong hummed very softly, trying his best to calm himself down.
But he still couldn't relax, his pallor a bit pronounced amidst the clamorous crowd.
Su Shu hugged him a bit more tightly.
She spoke in a voice loud enough for just the two of them to hear, "Are you worried about the issue at the Northern Border?"
Although Lu Tong didn't respond, his reaction had already told Su Shu that she guessed correctly.
She whispered in his ear, "Look, you weren't the only one there at that time, were you? There were many others, me, your Uncle Tang and the rest, and they're all fine, so what are you worried about?"
Lu Tong said, "But I was scratched by those things, is that okay?"
"Some of Uncle Tang's men even had bite wounds."
Perhaps it was Su Shu's reassuring words, but Lu Tong finally began to relax a little.
