Vode's slumber was abruptly interrupted by an eerie presence. He felt a chill run down his spine as a dark entity loomed over him. The creature was tall and lanky with its body emitting dark fumes that filled the air with an otherworldly scent. It gently held Vode's face, bringing its own close to his, as if savoring his fear.
Vode's eyes snapped open, and he was met with a sight that made his blood run cold. The creature's face was twisted and grotesque, its eyes glowing with an unnatural light that made Vode's muscles tighten. His mind raced as he tried to process what was happening trying to control his breathing and holding his lungs from screaming out. He remembered the Iwin the prince had spoken of, a spirit being was here to take his life too and his heart raced with fear.
Within seconds Vode made a bold attempt, rushing to the kitchen while it kept staring , grabbing a knife in a futile attempt to defend himself. He lunged at the creature, but the creature simply phased through space, reappearing beside him. Vode's determination and fear gave way to panic as he realized the creature was impervious to his attacks. His mind running with thoughts like a computer processing codes "what the hell.....".
As he tried again, the creature phased once more, appearing this time behind him so close that he had instant goosebumps. He fell to the ground, the knife slipped out of his hand due to his shaking fingers, "Get a grip man" he tried calming himself down. His mind raced with thoughts of his impending doom. Memories of his childhood began flashing before his eyes - happy moments with his father, his mother's warm embrace, his friends Osas, Ola, Aisha, and Idara.
All his hopes was dashed in the bin, then the creature called out his name, "Vode!". its voice like a cold wind. Vode looked up, and the creature began levitating, looming over him like a specter of death.
"Vode," it whispered, its voice dripping with malevolence. "You will begin to see."
Vode's heart raced as the creature's dark fumes began enveloping him, in thought suffocating him. He was trapped in a living nightmare, with no escape from the clutches of this creature.
