Chapter 86 - The Emerald Eyed Intruder

In the world of shadow, there appeared a fortress, where the long forces of nature lurk beneath the shadows of the undergrowth of London.

A man dressed in all black shadows sneaks into the large fortress, perceived as an ancient castle in the North, where a ball has taken place. As he watches the guests of the ballroom chatter with cheerful glee, their gloved hands holding the chilling glasses clicking towards each other as the music plays into the ballad of violins and cellos, as many males dance with their female companions in big gowns, jewelry, and men with silver wigs covering their own heads.

In an enchanting rhythm, the night was full and plenty for all, but not the black clothed man who wore tight black clothing. And as he kept climbing to a certain window where he spotted a middle-aged man in a frivolous 1700s lavender colored jacket with its matching puffy lavender pants, white stockings, and silver engraved male heels. He stood behind the flight of arched stairs, hiding from the crowd with a glass of wine in his hand.

"I speak no other language but chivalry. Where am I supposed to find a mate so pure under these rigid lights of my ball?" The Lavender man spoke, his face contorted in boredom, yet he wasn't too attractive; it would be mild. His chiseled jaw is firm and slightly slack. He felt too at peace, and he did not want to be lonely.

His voice boomed in a brutal language of bluntness, already tired from the show he was hosting as he spoke. His outfit was adorned with jewelry, crested diamond buttons along his breeches, and his spirit. Yet the unknown host wasn't prepared for a deliberate stranger at the window.

The Lavender man spoke again, "If an intruder kills for pleasure, then I do not need you."

He turned towards the window to glance at the shadow that stopped him with his dagger.

Now it was the intruder who spoke, "I am here to kill you, and yet you, of all people, complain about life."

The Lavender man took a good look at the man dressed in tight black clothing. He wore black, from head to toe, his body lean and fit, without a sound before the Lavender man caught sight of his eyes.

They were an Emerald hue of green that shone throughout the darkness they carry themselves in, as his eyes were the only thing he saw before hearing him speak again, "I look upon you and I see a man who has everything in the brilliance he has, who seems to be ungrateful, to the chivalrous life he has been given to a fault."

The Lavender man couldn't help the beating drums of his heart when he turned around to meet his killer. The Emerald Eye Intruder seemed to be the forbidden fruit he's been looking for.

"I complain of life itself, why the clothes we wear? Why do the higher-ups think that ranking by the means of their fortune of our people should be considered richer than others? What can I do to sustain this eager thirst of satisfaction?" the Lavender man questions the intruder as he couldn't take his eyes off the intruder in front of him.

The Emerald Eyed Intruder's eyes sparkle in disbelief, "I seek revenge to kill you, yet you ask for advice from a killer like me." he places his free black hand over his chest as a scoff escapes from his covered face.

There was tension in the air as the music kept playing in the background; it was the dancing Macabre dance as any dance partners started dancing to the beat of the cellos and their accompaniment. Whilst the Lavender man stared curiously at the man in front of him.

The Emerald Eyed Intruder kept narrowing his eyes, waiting for a scared reaction or any sign of recognition, but found none.

"Yet you answered me as if you knew the answer to them. Moreover, I could see no one has ever been kind to you," the Lavender man spoke in a surprising gentleness. He began to feel a cross feeling between his heart and stomach. The Emerald Eyed intruder's body became stiff and rigid as the answer, sure enough, went straight to the target. Before he grabs him, pinning his chest against the wall with such force shocking the man, his face turned to look at him as the agile, lean, and strong intruder held him there, barking a growl.

"You know nothing of a sort," his voice objected to the idea that had portrayed his mind at the last second before extinguishing it from his mind before it could consume him.

His trembling hand that held the silver blade that kissed the powdered neck of the Lavender man, with his arm pinning him with his might.

"And...your body speaks otherwise," the Lavender man chuckles huskily, smirking at the amusing game as he felt the friction between them, causing the intruder to groan to himself, trying not to get distracted, "But you haven't answered my question."

"..." the Emerald Eyed Intruder kept his hold, adding, "You only questioned three."

The Lavender man nodded, feeling the blade dig deeper yet not enough to bleed. "You care to answer them?"

The Emerald Eyed Intruder hardened his eyes before slowly stepping back from him, closing his blade back into his scabbard. While letting the Lavender man go, he took him by surprise with the strong grip of the man in lavender as the glass of wine shattered to the ground, causing a minor sound through the echoing music of the Danse Macabre without an echo.

The Emerald Eyed Intruder was taken by instant shock as he was now struggling beneath his grasp as he tried to pull away the Lavender man's clothing turned blue under the half-moon cascading through the glass window he came through.

What he didn't expect was the turn on of the Lavender man's husky whisper, on the shell of his covered ear, "Question number one...Why the clothes we wear?"

As the man caressed, the Emerald Eyed intruder felt his stomach churn in disgust as he thought of a way to escape this mad man. His silk black mask was about to be removed if he didn't move to save himself from the smirking Lavender man's grasp. He lets him have his way before he hits him with his elbow hard against the bones cracking underneath the Lavender man's clothes, making a crushing sound.

Bones shattering at the low tempo of the cello and the piano, into a mix of tension and volume building.

The Lavender man cried out in pain, clutching his ribs, feeling a certain drain come off his powdered face and neck, making him look even paler. As he then notices something on his wound, the blade struck him through his clothes as he stared in anger, trying to lunge a hit at the Emerald Eyed Intruder, who easily jumped back to the window he came through. And just as the Lavender man was about to yell, the intruder thought fast and kissed him through his masked lips, leaving an impression.

The Emerald Eyed Intruder silenced his mouth, following the silent atmosphere as the music cut at the finale. He jumped backwards with no reaction yet the only thing the Lavender man saw were those eyes before his sight darkened forever.
