Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Jealousy Rias

After carefully laying Asia down in one of the spare rooms at the Occult Research Club, Alastor and Rias quietly left.

Alastor and Rias headed back to their own room it means they headed back to Alastor's room. It had become routine for them to share a room, something that spoke of their growing closeness.

By closeness, he means really close like Rias started putting Alastor's face between her tits while sleeping.

Or Alastor can now freely play with Rias boobs if he wanted. Because of that, they have a weird relationship between them.

But because of that weird relationship, Rias had begun to show subtle signs of possessiveness, which Alastor couldn't ignore.

It wasn't an issue if the relationship had been exclusive, but given the complicated dynamics surrounding Alastor's connections—particularly with Sona and potentially others—it couldn't remain a monogamous affair.

If he didn't manage things carefully, it could escalate into conflict between the girls, and possibly even lead to a civil war of sorts within their respective circles.

To prevent things from reaching that point, Alastor had made small adjustments to their routine, one of which included occasionally inviting Akeno to join them.

Actually, it is not right to say that Alastor was the one who invited Akeno actually it was the reverse it was Akeno, who asked him if she could sleep with him.

And for obvious reasons, he said "ok" Like who wouldn't?

As they entered the room, Alastor immediately noticed something different in the atmosphere. The room started to chill.

Akeno was already there, seated casually on the edge of the bed, her usual playful smile on display. She had been waiting for them.

Rias's mood shifted the moment she saw Akeno. Her usual calm composure gave way to a slight pout, her arms crossing defensively in mild irritation.

Alastor could already sense the tension building between them. And he was enjoying it.

"What are you doing here, Akeno?" Rias asked, her tone sharper than usual.

Akeno's smile didn't waver. "I'm here to sleep, of course," she replied sweetly, as if the answer should have been obvious.

Rias raised an eyebrow, her irritation barely masked. "Why?" she pressed, though she likely knew what Akeno was up to.

Akeno's eyes sparkled mischievously. "After fighting those Fallen Angels, I'm really scared to sleep by myself. So, naturally, I came to Alastor for some protection."

She batted her eyelashes dramatically as if she were truly the picture of vulnerability.

So pitiful.

Rias sighed, her lips pressing into a thin line. She didn't want to outright say it, but she wasn't thrilled with the idea of sharing Alastor's bed tonight.

"Akeno, don't you think this is a bit much?" Rias said, her voice betraying just how annoyed she was.

Akeno chuckled, moving closer to Rias. "Oh, come on, Rias. You can't seriously be upset about this, can you? We're all friends here, aren't we? And it looks like Al-kun is looking forward to eating both of us out."

Rias blinked, her face turning a shade of red, half from embarrassment and half from growing annoyance.

She immediately turned to Alastor, her expression demanding some kind of response, some validation of her feelings. But, as expected, Alastor remained silent, his face calm and composed, like the wise man he was.

"Well, yeah, I am," Alastor said after a moment of silence.

He shrugged as if the whole situation was just another day in his complicated life. His nonchalant response only seemed to irritate Rias more, though she was trying hard to hide it.

Rias frowned, biting her lip in frustration. She wasn't quite sure how to respond. Part of her understood that Alastor wasn't hers alone—after all, their relationship had been unconventional from the start.

But knowing that didn't make it any easier when moments like this arose.

Akeno was bold, far bolder than she ever was when it came to expressing her feelings or making her intentions known.

It bothered Rias that Akeno could so easily walk into the room and claim a piece of Alastor's attention, seemingly without any hesitation or regard for her feelings.

"Anyway," Alastor's voice cut through the silence again, drawing both women's attention back to him. "Let's get to sleep. I'm tired of standing here."

Without waiting for a response, he casually removed his shirt, revealing his toned upper body, and laid down on the bed. His actions were so matter-of-fact, so unbothered by the undercurrent of tension in the room, that it almost made the entire situation seem trivial.

Rias and Akeno exchanged glances, the unspoken emotions hanging between them for a brief moment before Akeno shrugged, her playful smile returning.

"Well, you heard him," Akeno said with a wink, moving toward the bed herself.

Rias lingered for a moment, still wrestling with her feelings. She wasn't ready to completely let go of the irritation simmering in her chest, but she knew Alastor wasn't someone she could monopolize. She sighed softly, finally moving to join them.

For tonight, she would set aside her jealousy. But it wasn't something that would disappear so easily.
