In the swirling exchange of information within the transaction space, the illusory scenery began to shift, fading away like mist on a summer morning. Gradually, it transformed into the eerily silent landscape of Konohagakure—empty, desolate, and draped in moonlight. Buildings stood still like relics of a bygone age, casting long shadows over the cobbled streets.
Uchiha Yun sat quietly atop Hokage Rock, his figure a dark silhouette under the silver gleam of the moon. He rested on the carved face of the Fourth Hokage, eyes reflecting the slumbering village below. Thoughts raced through his mind like the autumn wind.
'The state of this world... it really aligns with the anime timeline from my memories.'
Two years ago, Yun had been nearly certain that Uchiha Fugaku didn't possess the Mangekyō Sharingan. Yet, reality once again proved more deceptive than fiction.
'This man... even as the clan head, he concealed it this well. But from the looks of it, Fugaku's dual Mangekyō powers are probably incomplete or restricted in some way. If they were truly at full strength, he wouldn't have stayed on the sidelines all this time.'
Yun's gaze drifted to the Hokage Monument once more, the engraved visages watching over the village like silent guardians.
'Uchiha Madara. Uchiha Sasuke's Indra chakra... and Naruto's Ashura chakra... I guess I have to start calling him Namikaze Naruto now, huh?'
He sighed lightly.
'I only wanted to live peacefully in the village. But as things are, I can't leave something as vital as my life and death in the hands of others. That means I need more power—enough to control my own fate.'
…
Midnight arrived like a quiet guest. Yun snapped back to reality as he exited the transaction space, his eyes sharper than before. The information flooding his mind from the exchange buzzed like static at the edge of comprehension.

'Word Dream, huh... Prophetic vision, even.'
Yun sat by his desk, his fingers gently drumming against a kunai. What he had wanted initially was both of Obito's Kamui eyes. But now he understood—the eyes in Obito's sockets were only three-tomoe Sharingan when he last had them. By the time they awakened into the Mangekyō, the right eye had already been transplanted into Hatake Kakashi.
'It makes sense. The true potential of Kamui lies in pairing both eyes—one for short-range teleportation, one for long-range. Offense and defense in perfect symmetry. But right now, I only have the right eye's ability.'
His eyes narrowed.
'Still... the notes about Obito and Fugaku's bloodline are worth pondering. There must be a reason those notes appeared. It can't be arbitrary.'
He returned his attention to the Kotomu eye—Fugaku's Mangekyō ability. Though its full scope wasn't clear yet, something about it felt powerful... incomplete, but full of promise.
'And with Fugaku's bloodline, I could evolve the Mangekyō to the Eternal Mangekyō. Then, with Hashirama cells or Ashura chakra... the Rinnegan would be within reach.'
Images of the Six Paths-level combatants floated through his mind. That battlefield tier—where techniques like Planetary Devastation, Limbo, and Amenominaka were commonplace—was far beyond the reach of ordinary shinobi.
…
Yun gazed at his reflection. His right eye spun slowly from a single tomoe, then two, and finally a perfect three-bladed pattern. A triad of magatama formed a complete Mangekyō.
The cup on the table remained still, but he imagined a scene: a kunai striking the cup, shattering it into pieces, water spilling across the wooden surface.
Two seconds.
That was the scope of the ability: to predict a moment two seconds into the future. A mere blink in time—yet more than enough for someone like him.
Still, he didn't act. He didn't throw the kunai.
'It's just a prediction, not a certainty. One point to construct a picture. One symbol to represent destiny.'
Even Shisui's Kotoamatsukami—the strongest known genjutsu—couldn't match the sheer abnormality of predicting two seconds ahead. And the Great Elder Toad of Myōboku could only produce vague, riddled prophecies.
'Kaguya... Madara... Should I use this ability now? Or wait?'
His thoughts were interrupted by the memory of Danzo. In the timeline Yun remembered, Danzo used Kotoamatsukami with Hashirama cells to shorten the cooldown—but it still required chakra connection and couldn't be interrupted. If Yun had the left eye version—the one that didn't require chakra connection—it could even manipulate Impure World Reincarnation.
'But the cost... Even with Hashirama cells, it would demand an absurd amount of time and chakra.'
He scratched his head in frustration.
'Forget it! I'll think about it next year. Right now, Obito should be busy relocating corpses. Once he's done, I'll move in and... reclaim them.'
His gaze drifted into the distance.
'And if Otsutsuki Kaguya really left enough flesh and blood behind in this world... Then I wouldn't need a damn bicycle anymore.'
…
The morning sun broke through the clouds, casting a soft golden light through the windows.
At the threshold of their home, Uchiha Yun yawned lazily and called inside, "Izumi, are you ready yet?"
A muffled voice came from within. "Onii-chan, wait a minute! I'm almost done!"
Their mother, Uchiha Hazuki, chuckled softly beside him. "She's dressing up so carefully today. Do you think it's because of that little boy?"
Yun rubbed his forehead. "Mother, we're still three months away from turning nine. Don't tell me you're already trying to marry her off?"
Hazuki laughed warmly. "I just want to see you both grow up, get married, and live happy lives. That's all I can hope for."
Her words struck something in Yun. Their family had lost its father long ago, and their mother had raised them alone within the Uchiha compound. She endured everything, hoping her children would have brighter futures.
He exhaled slowly. "We're getting a new mission today. A Genin will be leading us, and... Itachi will be there too. So..."
At that moment, Izumi came running out in a neat dress with a decorative pin on her side bangs. "I'm ready, Onii-chan! Let's go!"
Yun gave her a quick once-over and asked with a smirk, "Did you wear trousers underneath?"
"Of course!" she huffed, hands on her hips. "I want to look pretty, but we're still going on a mission. Long pants and lining are a must!"
Yun nodded, satisfied. "Good. Let's go."
As they left the compound and began walking toward the academy, Izumi looked up curiously. "Why didn't you use your shadow clone today?"
"You noticed?" Yun raised an eyebrow.
"Of course! You've been using clones to attend school for weeks!"
"It's fake." Yun replied with a faint smile. "Didn't use a clone today. I'm in a good mood, so I figured I'd walk you to school myself."
"You wanted to see Itachi, didn't you?" Izumi grinned.
"Well..."
Uchiha Yun scratched his cheek in mild embarrassment. Truthfully, he was wondering why, even after a year since graduation, there was still no sign from higher-ups.
'What's taking them so long to move?'
