"Got any food?"
Just as Lu Ye's mind was wandering, he heard the old man's voice by his ear.
Lu Ye didn't quite catch on: "What?"
He thought he had misheard, there was no way a Sun Blaze Realm expert would be asking him for food. The old man looked like a beggar, but surely couldn't actually be one.
"Do you have anything to eat?" the old man reiterated.
This time, Lu Ye heard him clearly, feeling speechless. Though he didn't understand the old man's intent, he nodded: "I do."
As he spoke, he took out a large piece of dried meat. His storage sack had a lot of this stuff, mainly because Amber used to need it, and he himself craved it too. But ever since his cultivation gradually improved, he had rarely eaten these things.
The old man took it, chewed a few times, and swallowed it whole, still unsatisfied: "More!"
Lu Ye took out another large piece, and the old man did the same again, demanding even more, showing none of the grace of a Sun Blaze Realm expert.
