The treaty stipulated that the American Government "purchased" 250,000 square kilometers of land from 6 Indian Tribes for 20,000 US Dollars, leaving the Indians only a small piece of land in northwest Ohio to live on. Additionally, all Indian Tribes' trade must be monitored by the American Government, practically requiring them to sell their outputs cheaply to Americans.
