Chapter 58 - ch: 71

Wait a moment," Harry said as realisation hit him. "This is the part of Voldemort that was inside of me," He said, gesturing to the crib.

"Not just a part of Voldemort," Lily said, her voice sounding almost as disgusted as Harry felt. "It was a piece of his soul,"

"His soul?" Harry blinked hard, looking between her and the crib.

"That's what a 'horcrux' is, Harry," Lily said in a solemn voice. "It's one of the most horrid acts in existence, it's how he's survived even with his body being destroyed. To make one, you'll have to kill a wizard and use a ritual to split your soul, ripping a piece of it out and placing it in whatever you want. You can put it in a box, an heirloom or even a biscuit if you want."

"And he...he put it in me?" Harry asked. "Why? Why would he do that? Unless it wasn't supposed to be me."

"No, it's possible he wanted to put it in something besides you and it accidentally went into you when his body was destroyed, it's also entirely possible that the evil bastard's soul was just so messed up that it simply unintentionally went into you after he shot the killing curse at you...like a bitch."

"He is a bitch," Venom nodded in agreement from outside the room.

"Anyway, they're really hard to destroy, not many things can do it, except perhaps for..." She trailed off and looked at him expectantly.

"I'm assuming the killing curse might work," Harry frowned thoughtfully.

"Good, and what else?" She asked patiently.

"The diary!" Harry gasped. "It was a horcrux!" He realised. "Then...the basilisk venom!"

"Good job!" She said proudly. "Though, for the record, fiendfyre works as well probably, though I wouldn't recommend trying that. It's a spell that releases flames so hot that they make dragon flames look tame, you're pretty fireproof but I wouldn't risk it."

"How do you know all of this stuff?" Harry couldn't help but ask.

"Perks of being dead," She said with a small shrug. "We know all kinds of stuff. Like what you've been doing the last few years,"

"We...um...you know about everything?" Harry asked, gulping slightly.

"Not everything," Lily shook her head. "Thankfully there are rules in place that stop me from seeing you on the toilet or in quote, unquote, 'intimate positions'. But I have been able to see everything you and Venom have been doing together, including but not unlimited to the maiming and killing."

"Oh," Venom and Harry said at the same time, both shifting awkwardly.

"Can you come here one sec?" She said suddenly to Venom. The extraterrestrial alien froze for a moment before very nervously walking forward and stopping next to Harry, the two shared looks. They had both just recently gone toe to toe with the most feared dark lord in recent history, yet they both now felt like little kids waiting to see if their mother would punish them. Lily stared at Venom for a few moments before grabbing him by the shoulders and pulling him into a tight hug. Venom froze once more and awkwardly hugged her back while sending a look to Harry that somehow managed to convey confusion.

"I don't know," Harry mouthed at him, shrugging his shoulders.

"Thank you so much," Lily said, stepping back but keeping her hands on Venom's shoulders. "Thank you for looking after my son these last few years," She said warmly.

"Oh, it was my pleasure," Venom said awkwardly.

"While I personally am not a fan of eating heads, I am far less tolerable of death eaters and the scum that you've been dealing with," She said, her pretty face scowled for a bit before she smiled at Venom again. "I'm glad that Harry has you with him, I had always hoped to get him a sibling." A horribly sad look appeared on her face as she stared down at her stomach.

"Mum! Were you pregnant?!" Harry gasped.

"I hadn't told your father at the time, but yeah, I was," Lily said with a watery smile. "The magical tests I had done told me that I was going to have a little girl, you would have had a sister. I had been planning to tell James when no-nose decided to drop in unannounced."

"Dick," Harry and Venom said at once.

"Indeed," Lily agreed. "I was hoping that the two of you could have had each other's company, I had been considering trying to convince Petunia to be her godmother, but with what I've seen of her, I'm glad I didn't."

"Aunt Petunia?" Harry asked numbly before he and Venom exchanged looks once more, remembering exactly what had happened to her.

"It's alright," Lily said knowingly. "I've seen how Petunia had treated you, trust me when I say she's lucky I wasn't the one there, I would have done a lot worse. I had hoped that she would've changed, would have put the silliness behind us, but she died as she lived. Jealous, petty, horrible and abnormal."

"Is she...is she here?" Harry asked, hoping the answer was a clear 'no'. He hoped to never ever see her again, even in death.

"Let's just say that she's currently enjoying the fruits of her labours," Lily said with a cold smile.

"Hope she chokes on those fruits," Venom muttered, earning an amused look from Lily.

"And dad?" Harry asked hopefully. "Is he here?"

"No, Sweetheart," Lily said with a sad smile as she patted his shoulder. "Unfortunately only one of us was able to come and meet you. His only real advice was to try for a threesome with Tonks and Fleur so we decided I'd be the one meeting you. Speaking of, what exactly is going on between the three of you?" She couldn't help but ask.

"Complicated," Was Harry's response.

"Fair enough," Lily shrugged. "For the record, I too am hoping for you to get both of them."

"Thank you!" Venom said loudly whilst gesturing to Lily. "You see," He told Harry. "You have your mother's approval along with your father's and mine. We can do it!"

"Sweet Merlin on a bike," Harry groaned out loud before shaking his head. "Anyway, what's happening now? Are...are we dead?"

"The two of you are not," Lily told him. "Unless you'd like to be, in that case, you're free to move on with me. The other option is to go back to the living."

"So...we can stay here with you?" Harry asked in a quiet voice.

"Not if you don't want me to paddle both your backsides," Lily said in a warning tone. "You will go straight back to the land of the living young man and I had better not see you back here until I have three grandchildren at a minimum!" She said in a firm voice before softening. "Harry, you have a whole life ahead of you, one filled with a lot of possibilities. You have the opportunity to love and enjoy your life, you just got to kill a dark lord before you do it."

"I'll do it," Venom volunteered, raising a hand.

"Thank you, Sweetie," Lily told him brightly, Venom preened slightly under her gaze. "Harry, you'll be back here with us sooner or later, why not let it be later? There are people there who'll miss you. Spend as time as you can with them before you end up back here with us."

"Right," Harry thought for a moment. "It's just...it's really good to see you again," He said honestly, staring at her. "I...I'm glad I got to meet you, also...please say hi Dad for me."

"I will," Lily pulled him into a hug which he gladly returned. "Venom," She said over Harry's shoulder. "Are you joining us or not, son?"

"Mother," Venom said softly as he walked forward and joined in the hug. "I've never really had a mother before," He whispered. "I think...my parent knew me for about ten seconds before leaving me,"

"Fuck your parent," Lily whispered to him. "You're mine now,"

"Mother," Venom said fondly while Harry snorted.

"Master, are you okay?" Bertha asked Voldemort, walking towards him as he struggled to climb up to his feet. She placed her hands on his torso and helped him stand up, not noticing the winces from the other death eaters. "Master, I have you," She said.

"I don't need your help!" Voldemort snarled before coughing heavily and spitting out dark red blood.

"But Master, you're injured!" Bertha protested. "You can barely stand! The Potter boy has -"

"You think I am so weak that I require your assistance?!" Voldemort demanded before pushing Bertha away.

"Master!" She cried. "I am merely concerned for your -" She found herself cut off, gasping as her body seemed to register the large hole in her chest, she fell to her knees and slowly collapsed to the floor.

"I don't need your concern," Voldemort turned away from her as the light started fading from her eyes. He walked over to Harry, ignoring his now silent death eaters.

He looked down at the boy who had caused him so much damage, the one who had hurt him far more than any other wizard ever had, including Dumbledore. Every little bit of doubt he had ever had about the prophecy had been slowly erased, the boy at the mere age of fourteen had already done so much to him. He would have been a real force to be reckoned with should he be allowed to reach adulthood, which was why it was a good thing that he had killed the boy as soon as he could. Still, it was a shame to see such a talented wizard go, the boy could have been one of his best followers. But he knew better than to try and recruit him, he had seen the look in the boy's eyes and knew he would not have been able to convince him without torture or magic to keep him obedient, tortured and mind-controlled wizards were never as good as when they were at their full and healthy selves.

A gasp escaped Voldemort as he suddenly felt all of his body healing, his limbs stopped aching and his wounds started closing, even the pain that had been dominating his body had slowly died out, surprising him completely. That wasn't his doing, nor had it been an intentional part of the ritual he had performed to create this new body. Was it a side effect of a botched ritual? He didn't know, but he'd find out later, in his own time.

"Harry Potter," He said softly as he crouched down and stared at the dead form of his young enemy. "You fought far better than any person your age had the right to. Take some solace in the fact that it took Lord Voldemort himself to send you to the sweet release of death. I hope you enjoy it, I myself have never experienced it." He finished softly, only to freeze when he saw Harry's eyes snap open and a wicked grin appear on his face.

"Let's fix that shall we?" The words left his mouth and his hand shot out and grabbed Voldemort by the neck. Black tentacles pushed Harry up as he became encased in a familiar black goo, Harry grew taller and taller until Voldemort found himself being held up in the air by Venom in his bigger form.

"W...what are you?!" Voldemort choked as he stared at the grinning form of Venom while his death eaters watched with stunned looks on their faces. Half of Venom's face peeled away to show half of Harry's face.

"We are Venom," The two said at the same time with matching smiles before Harry's face disappeared as Venom returned to normal. Voldemort tried to raise his wand but Venom slapped it out of his hand. "This is for the Potters," Venom told him just before a white tentacle burst out of Voldemort's back and shot towards Venom. A similar black tentacle shot out of Venom's chest and intercepted the white one, stopping it in mid-air. "Interesting," Venom noted.

The symbiote realised quickly that Voldemort had ended up unintentionally creating a symbiote of his own during the ritual when he had taken their blood. With that being said, Venom decided to not waste any time at all. Voldemort was a dangerous individual and if he had a symbiote of his own then it would only make him far more dangerous. Venom needed to end him before the dark lord realised just what power he now had access to. Besides, he had basically told Lily Potter that he would deal with Voldemort and Venom was nothing if not a symbiote of his word, especially when that word was given to a new parental figure that he did not want to disappoint.

Wasting no time, Venom's head shot forward and his jaw widened instantly, allowing him to fit Voldemort's entire head inside his mouth. He bit it off, much to the horror of the watching death eaters who had been preparing to jump in to save their master who was now a headless body. Several more tentacles shot out of Voldemort and tried to tackle Venom who met them with tentacles of his own, the already horrified death eaters took a step back when they saw an even larger mouth appear over Venom's stomach. Venom quickly shoved Voldemort's body in there, devouring him completely, tentacles and all.

"I came back to life to taste this bullshit!" Venom gagged after, Voldemort was literally the worst thing he had ever eaten. Sure, he got all of the nutrients that he'd get from eating a regular person but the taste for him was a lot like what a human would probably experience if they ate five-month-old expired pizza that someone had scraped from the bottom of a very dirty bin. Still, it had been a necessary act, a symbiote Voldemort was too dangerous to let loose, and the best way to get rid of a symbiote was to eat it, everyone knows that. Just to be on the safe side he waved his hand and vanished any blood drops from Voldemort to make sure there was no part of him left, he aimed his hand at the Riddle Mansion and summoned any and all bits of blood to him before vanishing that portion as well.

Venom shivered slightly as a dark, smokey cloud shot out of him before hovering into the air.

"What power is this?!" Voldemort's voice hissed from the cloud as it changed shape to show his face.

"Power beyond your comprehension," Venom said whilst licking his lips.

"Kill him fools!" Voldemort-cloud hissed at the other death eaters who all jumped as if they had been tasered. They aimed their wands at Venom and a chorus of killing curses shot towards him, Venom continued grinning as the curses struck him. He could practically taste the fear coming from them when they saw he hadn't even stumbled backwards.

"My turn!" Venom roared before charging towards the group, they continued firing different spells at him until he got close enough to leap at them, he had managed to get one of them while the others apparated away. Looking down at the person he caught, he realised that it was Nott, idly recalling someone with the same name in Harry's year. He also remembered that he had already ate somebody with the same name, perhaps this person was a relative.

"No, please..." Nott was cut off when his head was cut off.

"Hmm," A pleased hum escaped Venom's throat as he swallowed Nott's head. "Much better," He said happily, the taste counteracting the previous taste that was still stuck in his mouth. The other death eaters at this point had scattered and were now standing various different distances away.

"Weak fools!" The cloud roared before flying straight to one Walden Macnair, an executioner for the Ministry of Magic when they needed a magical creature dealt with. Also, he was one of the closest and least valuable of the death eaters present. Macnair barely managed to let out a scream before his body was taken over by Voldemort, the man's formerly dull eyes were now a bright red. "You are no creature I've ever seen before, what are you?"

"You should have died, you would've been out of our reach then," Venom told him in a low growl. "Now, we'll destroy you ourselves." Voldemort-McNair stared at him for several moments.

"Retreat!" The dark lord ordered, his men needed no further incentive and quickly apparated away. "I'll see you soon, Potter!" He glared before disappearing from view. Venom stared at where had had been previously standing, the symbiote took in a deep breath and stood as straight as possible before aiming his head up into the air and loudly stating his opinion of Voldemort in a voice that was heard easily over a mile away.

"BBBBBBIIIIIITTTTTTTCCCCCHHHHHHH!"
