The two arrived at the hospital, Liu Zheng went for an IV, and Xu Ai was looking at her phone to check emails and arrange work. She would be late to the office, and unexpectedly ran into Yuan Fenglian and Xu Lin.
Xu Lin's belly was slightly swollen, and the two were murmuring about something. Yuan Fenglian was leaning down to softly and attentively instruct her daughter. Upon seeing Xu Ai, they both looked surprised. Xu Lin looked up, her eyes red as if she had been crying hard. Yuan Fenglian, on seeing Xu Ai, wanted to speak but was a bit awkward, unsure of what to say. Xu Ai, however, had no interest in conversation. Yet, as she looked at the messages from her colleague, she was clearly distracted, not even noticing what she replied.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Yuan Fenglian asked.
Xu Ai looked up and glanced at her indifferently, "Thank you for your concern, I'm fine."
