The room stank, the first impression Xiao Mo had as she opened the door; it did not seem like a place fit for human habitation.
The shadow lunged at her the moment she entered, and she agilely dodged it. The thing missed and quickly pounced again, but Xiao Mo kicked it and hurriedly retreated to a farther corner.
The creature was restrained by a chain, unable to move forward, just spinning in place and emitting a low, muffled growl.
Xiao Mo, still in shock, leaned against the wall, gasping for breath...
Only then did she clearly see what the shadow was.
It was a big black wolfhound, at least a meter tall, chained at the feet and muzzled, so although it looked fierce, it couldn't bark.
This was no ordinary wolfhound, but one of those highly aggressive wild wolf dogs...
Soon, Xiao Mo realized that there was no Young Master in the room. The room was large but empty, without a single piece of furniture, nothing but the wolfhound tied to a pillar.
