The pitch-black night seemed to swallow even the moon, leaving only coldness and darkness.
Inside, the faint night lamp cast a soft yellow glow, which should have exuded tranquility. But the night was too deep, making such weak light feel thin and desolate.
"Ugh, where am I?" Dongfang struggled to get up from the bed, feeling a splitting headache and extreme discomfort.
