Li Shenrong lowered his hand and smiled, before his smile could fade, a rain of starlight flashed behind him with dazzling brilliance. Upon closer inspection, one could see it wasn't a shower of starlight but humanoid figures and weapons. All of them had vast imperial aura which crushed the void like paper.
More than a hundred supreme Emperor Wills descended. Who are the Emperors? They are the supreme beings ruling over heaven and earth, bearers of the Heavenly Dao and protectors of eras. The Emperor Wills carried such vast imperial might that even demonic Qi and curse energy were forced into a vacuum.
Li Shenrong, wearing the tattered battle attire, stood tall and unwavering. Behind him stood the Wills of the Emperors. He seemed like a godly general ready for battle along with his fearless soldiers.
One Emperor will could easily suppress a Godking, twelve Emperor wills could already be considered almost invincible. Against the Demon prince since it wasn't enough, why not gather all the Emperor wills across the eras?
"I understand…. You were waiting for the world to be complete again. So you could gather all the wills of the emperors in one place." The faceless demon said. Its voice was no longer scornful as before.
Li Shenrong smiled brightly as he replied, "Of course. It was a partial gamble on my part."
"We killed and sacrificed so many living beings yet you didn't stop us just because of this. Kekeke, you are no different than us." The faceless demon laughed.
Li Shenrong's expression didn't change. "I had ways to stop you. I could've killed your minions, destroyed the formations you've built for millennia. I could have destroyed the annihilation chains and bound you into the ruin for another thousand years. But eventually, I would only be delaying the inevitable.
"The world would have repaired itself within a hundred years, giving you more time to expand your sacrificial formation across the entire world. Then wouldn't the blood sacrifice be even greater than it is now?" Li Shenrong paused for a moment and added, "You can't shake my resolve. Sometimes a small sacrifice is needed to stop a greater bloodshed."
The faceless demon was silent for a while. "Indeed, if you waited for another thousand years, we would have been able to gather sacrifices from the entire world. But now, we have gathered only a portion of it…"
"But this doesn't change anything. The hundred or so Emperor Wills might be powerful, but they aren't real Emperors. Eventually their battle intent will dwindle and dissipate," the faceless demon said confidently.
"You don't have to worry about that," Li Shenrong replied coldly.
"EMPERORS! KILL!" Li Shenrong's voice reverberated across the world.
More than a hundred Emperor Wills bloomed with infinite brilliance. Their might surged, piercing the blue sky. The entire world boiled under the pressure of their imperial might. The lower level demons and abominations couldn't stand under the suppression. Cultivators saw hundreds of vague imperial figures in the sky and bowed their heads with tears of gratitude and reverence.
People from all over the world clasped their hands and prayed for victory. The power of faith from everyone silently flowed into the Wills of the Emperors, empowering them even more.
"You underestimated the hearts of people," Li Shenrong murmured.
The Emperor Wills roared in unison and began slaughtering in all directions. The sky turned dark, space was torn asunder, lands and mountains uprooted, oceans split apart. The demons and abominations had no place to hide. Agonizing screams filled the world.
A few powerful cultivators shivered at the sight.
"This is the greatest bloodbath the world has ever seen!" they thought fearfully.
Heaven and earth trembled beneath the Will of the Emperors.
The Archdemons protecting the heart of the sacrificial formation, located within the Blue Bird Kingdom, felt immense pressure. Imperial weapons bombarded them constantly.
"Quick, expand the formation! We need more blood sacrifice!" the Archdemon Ignivar roared.
Suddenly the sky darkened. Looking up, he saw a vast mountain looming above his head.
People from the Holy City would instantly recognize the mountain, it was the Taixiu Mountain, an Emperor artifact. The Taixiu Mountain fell, shrouded in divine light. In an instant, the protective barrier shattered like glass. Countless demons were minced before they could react.
The vast formation covering the Sword Sea Continent instantly broke apart. Gray mist and demonic Qi began to recede slowly. The broken ancient ruin started to regenerate, coiling around the Demon Prince, trying to restrict its movements.
"Damn this cursed formation!" The faceless Demon cursed and attacked.
Feeling the connection with the sacrificial formation being lost, the Demon prince roared angrily. It opened its mouth wide, the gaping mouth was so huge that it could devour an entire continent with one gulp. Grabbing the planet size orb with one hand it gulped down its throat.
The might of the Demon Prince surged again, nearly breaking the world's limits. The Demon prince manoeuvred the annihilation hooks connected to its back, the hooks stretched once again, wanting to cause destruction.
Li Shenrong narrowed his eyes, his gaze turned cold.
He took out a tattered battle banner filled with dusts and swung down viciously.
The battle banner lit up, slashing down with boundless imperial might, submerging the entire world.
The Demon prince's titanic body was forced to take few steps back. Against it, Li Shenrong looked extremely tiny, even smaller than dust particle.
Next, a scarlet spear appeared on his left hand, glowing with extreme murderous aura.
Li Shenrong slashed down without hesitation. Under this slash, reality itself distorted, flow of time broke down, space was torn asunder. The Demon prince cried out in pain. The battle banner suppressed its demonic power, while the spear cutting through its body like paper.
The faceless demon wanted to help but it couldn't get close no matter what.
Li Shenrong's face was pale and bloodless. Equipped with many supreme treasures, even his vast spirit sea and cultivation could hardly withstand the strain. His spirit sea was almost dry.
The blue sky above rumbled loudly. An infinite ocean of lightning materialized above the skydome. The bolts swam like dragons, each thicker and more dreadful than the last. Even the Emperor Wills felt a great threat from the lightning.
"Finally…" Seeing the ocean of lightning above, Li Shenrong smiled.
The faceless demon felt trepidation while watching it. In an instant, the ocean of lightning rained down on earth like heaven's punishment. The entire world bathed in golden thunder. Demons were killed mercilessly, and abominations purified by the heavenly rule.
A vast rain of lightning descended on the Demon Prince. As soon as it touched his titanic body, his flesh burned and fell away like bark from a tree. He roared in pain, trying to block the lightning, but it was all in vain.
Li Shenrong smirked, "You asked for it. How could the heavenly dao tolerate you corroding its land?"
The faceless demon roared angrily. "How could this happen if it wasn't for you!" He wanted to tear Li Shenrong to pieces.
Li Shenrong swung down the spear. The faceless demon's headless body fell down from the sky.
The Demon Prince's colossal body was drowned in golden thunder. Within it, he suddenly chanted a strange mantra. An invisible dimension connected itself to this world as gray miasma began flooding into his body. The Demon Prince healed rapidly.
As soon as the gray miasma appeared, the lightning receded as if afraid of being corrupted.
"I was waiting for this." At this moment Li Shenrong stepped forward. He boldly appeared above the Demon prince's head. His entire body suddenly lit up like thousand suns exploding, nine coloured clouds surged into the sky with divine brilliance. A throne made of primal chaos manifested above the sky as if belonging to the lord of nine heaven. A shadow of a divine tree emerged shrouding eras and shouldering the skies, it seemed to represent eternity itself. Li Shenrong sat upon the throne and looked down like a god overlooking his creation. At the moment his gaze was cold and devoid of emotion.
The gargantuan shadow of the tree stretched out one of its thin illusory branch. The branch seemed like it would break upon a slight touch.
The illusory branch instantly sealed the dimension supplying power to the Demon Prince. It didn't stop there as the branch separated into eighty one parts, each piercing a different point of the Demon Prince's body. A high level demon had eighty one hearts, now, all were destroyed.
The ocean of lightning rained down again, continuing to burn down the Demon prince. Li Shenrong's battle banner once again suppressed it, he threw down the spear at full force, pinning the demon prince to the ground. The illusory tree branch was like electric wire, burning down the gray miasma within it as the thunder bolts completely hellbent on obliterating the Demon prince.
At this point, almost all the demons have been purged, abominations became purified as those infected people regained their sanity once more.
The Demon prince's roar became fainter and fainter and eventually its entire physical body was turned to ashes. Only a remnant soul was left. Suddenly, space distorted. A spacetime crack opened. From within, a pale black hand stretched out, ignoring the terrifying lightning as it grabbed the Demon Prince.
Li Shenrong withdrew his power, he knew it would be futile. The ocean of lightning in the sky rumbled loudly as if angry. It rained down on the black hand with unprecedented might.
The hundreds of Emperor wills looked at the direction with wary gaze.
Against the might of the heavens punishment, the black hand vibrated slightly. In an instant a thin hair size dark light, unnoticeable by the naked eye, pierced through the ocean of lightning.
The sky was cleared up instantly, not a single lightning bold remained.
Li Shenrong narrowed his eyes as he watched the hand disappear within the dark crack along with the demon prince's soul.
