When the study session finally ended, the sky outside was completely dark, and Sophia's four friends had already headed out.
Luqing was inside the kitchen, cooking dinner, while Meiya was sitting at the table right before Alex and his two sisters.
"So... You're telling me your Mom is gone?" Meiya questioned, rubbing her ear as if she heard the wrong thing.
All three of them nodded their head, causing Meiya to sigh as she took out a small device from her pocket.
It was a small square case with several buttons, similar to a certain device Alex had seen in his previous life.
The more he thought of it, the more he felt he had seen the item before as Meiya started pressing the buttons.
"Miss Meiya, what is that thing?" Mary curiously asked the question that all three of them had been wondering about.
"It's a Chatterglass. Your mom gave it to me in case we need to contact each other."
