Chapter 5 - The Database System

'F*ck' 'F*ck 'F*ck'Noah repeated his curses in his mind as he now grasps how f*cked he is.in

The description of other features and item gifted by the starter pack didn't cross his mind as his anxiety is focused in that summoning ticket

But after some time,The fast beating of his heart calms down and a wave of imaginary coolness soothe his mind.

'Whew,I should think this thing more rationally...or else my sanity is at risk here.'Noah massaged the bridge of his nose to release the accumulating tension that is giving him anxiety and continued:

'And it seems like i'm transmigrated in 'that' universe or at least has some relation to it.'

'Either way,The outcome obviously would not be good...'

'Sigh,If i just knew about the terms of the contract...'

"Haa...In all words that has modern setting i can transmigrate too.It has to be on 'that' one."

"I shouldn't have signed that damned contract..."

But as the saying goes: 'Regret always come late'.Regret do indeed come late and if he can just travel through time and space,He will slap his past self for his future actions.

And the only thing he can do here is swallow the bitter pill...

'Let's think optimistically here, maybe the system have the solution for this specifically an item inside the shop'He thought possitively albeit he knew that items capable of fending or injuring even a single SCP-001 will surely cost an exorbitant price.

'Open shop.'

...

'Sigh,It's truly a non-intelligent one.'He complained inwardly and continued:

'Status'

[--Database System--]

[Name:Noah Najimi(24)]

[Traits:Superhuman Physique(Not yet Integrated)]

[Points:1000]

[Inventory:(!)]

[Shop]

[Quest:(!)]

[Hume Scale Meter:1(Normal)]

Next,He did check the shop by just tapping on it although he had taken note of the exclamation mark beside the quest. He decided that he will check that after this.

[--Shop--]

[Foundation Database]

[SCP Summon:(1st draw FREE)]

[Equipment]

[Personnel]

[Blueprint]

[Miscellanous]

As he eyed the words in the panel,He scoffed at the the word 'FREE' next to that summon.Even if at some point a random guy threatened to stab him in the gut if he doesn't tap it,He will just grit his teeth and endure the pain and maybe alongside of it die in peace.

He will never bother on that one.At most,He can just live this life as a normal guy and ignore this system.Anyway,He had that 'Superhuman Physique' although not yet integraded maybe he can became an athlete with it and earn some olympic gold medals easily plus with that 1000 points maybe can exchange something useful although he doesn't place much hope on it.

"Yeah,Let's just live a normal life to it's fullest and besides the Devil didn't mention any timelimit. He just said that i will be sent to hell again after i die."He said this with a smile as he imagined a glorious future where he will be famous as a renowned athlete. An average life without this fame and glory seems fine too to be honest as long as he will not be associated with this sussy system.

Because any items from 'that' universe is potentialy dangerous and hazardous and must be treated with extreme caution and this includes the supposedly beneficial item 'vial of SCP-006'.Noah didn't even dare to look at his inventory in the status screen because of this and just skipped at shop.

Who knew if by some chance his finger hovered and accidentally tapped this causing to materialise in front of him so he tried to close the system screens by tapping the x in red rectangle in upper right of the screen.

[Warning! You've unread quests.]

Of course,Noah ignored this as he instinctively felt this warning is ominous.

However,This warning screen has no 'X' button or 'Ok' button to close the warning panel.Instead,It only had the 'Go to Quests' button. He tried the swiping gesture with his fingers and move his vision by turning his head left and right to hopefully throw the screen in front of his eyes.

But as expected he just made himself a fool,The system screen is like a stubborn tick that never let it's grip on it's bite loosen. It's a pity though that punching the panel results with his fist passing through the panel like a ghost. It seems applying force more than a certain limit results it turning to an incorporeal state for a certain duration before it return to normal.

With no option than to go with what this system wants him to do or just possibly having this life being constantly bothered by a holographic panel. He chose to go along with what this system wants.

[--Quests--]

[Main Quest:Revival of the Foundation]

"..."

'Tsk,This system thinks too highly of me and overestimate my capabilites.'

If the automatic summoning isn't enough,he'd had to deal with this bullsh*t quest that is clearly near-impossible for him who is just an average joe in his previous life.

And what is this ridiculous penalty? Isn't this too harsh and inhumane? If ±500 hume is already at exceeding level where reality starts to collapse because of too much distortion, then how much a ten million can do? It's terrifying to think of it.

But the bullsh*ttery din't end just there...

[SIde Quest:Summon SCP from the shop]

[Description:As a future leader of such a massive organization that will eventually control the world to protect humanity against hostile threats and anomalies. How can you not lead by example?Summon a SCP from the shop and capture it by yourself with no external help.

Don't worry as the System will have your back, during this newbie quest you will be given temporary Immortality to acclimitize yourself dealing against SCPs.]

[Mission:

- Secure and Contain the summoned anomaly.

- Protect Humanity (Civilian Deaths must be less than 10)

Failure Penalty:

- Summoned SCP's threat will be upgraded to Keter-class

Reward:

- A free facility site of your choice with it's personnel and staff included.

Auto-Summon of SCP in 7 days.]

And in response of such another bullsh*t named 'auto-summon'.He just shook his head in and smile in amusement.

What Auto-Summon?What SCP?What Mission? If he died before the time auto-summon occurs then isn't the mssion issued to him is just for vain?

And isn't the punishment from Hell is more bearable than this sh*ts even if it's increased by a hundred times?

So he stood up from the white bed and trotted towards the open window.

"Ah,What a beautiful morning to die."He said as he felt the wind from the opened window blew towards his face.

And so...He jumped down...towards the ground floor...50+ meters below.

Although,It's a shame to die like this shortly after coming back to life. He'd rather die like this so he can save his future self on such amount of suffering.

In fact, you must know that among the 10,000+ documented SCPs.There are no shortage of SCPs who can make your life worse than death and death worse than life and these SCPs are usually known as Keter-Class SCPs.A highest primary class that is very very synonymous with danger.

So when he saw that he had to fight an SCP within 7 days or face anninhilation by a Keter-Class summoned SCP that will trigger one of the end-of-the-world scenarios.Such scene is chilling to him even if it's just an imagination of him.

When the cold and hard ground coming closer to him,He felt the scythe of death coming closer and closer towards his neck.

Just when a random thought come to his mind...

'Maybe if i integrated the Superhuman Pysique, train myself and buy some advanced gear...then maybe...just maybe,i can stand a chance?'

"Oh...Shit."Noah cursed as he felt regret for jumping in his impulsion without thinking.

And that's how the life of Noah Najimi aged 24 ends with just a lifetime of just 31 mins and 15 seconds...

Rest in Peace...

Best Speedrun in All History...

SIKE...

As Noah's nose touched the ground,The world immidiately loses it's vibrant color and chaotic sounds from the honks of cars and chatter from the gossips of ladies nearby.

As if some cosmic entity pressing the rewind button,Noah sees himself ascending higher and higher...

1 foot...3 feet...10 feet...this continues until he reaches the window where he jumped from and finally he goes back to this room and then...

The colors and vibrancy returned...

Noah who was witnessing this whole event just stared dumbfounded at nothing but just an air with a gaping mouth to express his suprise.

Honestly,He just looked like an idiot there...

If some random nurse were to this,She'd be confused why this patient is just staring outside the window with a suprised face.

Did the concussion mess up his brain too much?

It's just a pity that nurse were not here...

(A/N:I think i'm drunk writing this.)
