Boom! Boom! Boom!
As soon as the words left her mouth, the earth began to shake violently, as if struck by a massive earthquake. The ground cracked and collapsed, rocks shattered inch by inch, and spiderweb-like fissures spread in all directions. Amid the rising clouds of dust, countless coffins burst up from the ground.
The intense tremors made it difficult for anyone to stay on their feet. When the shaking finally ceased and everyone looked up, they were stunned—countless coffins now filled the battlefield.
Sengoku stared at the sudden emergence of coffins, eyes wide with uncertainty. "What… what is this?"
Kaguya smiled faintly. "You'll see soon enough."
At that moment, the lids of the coffins opened with a spine-chilling creak. With a loud bang, one of the lids fell to the ground, revealing a figure inside.
He was tall and burly, with two horns, a chiseled face, and a towering physique. His muscles bulged with explosive strength, veins popping under his skin like granite sculptures.
When the crowd saw who it was, their pupils shrank sharply.
"Th-that's…"
"Kaido of the Beasts!"
"Big Mom, Charlotte Linlin!"
"The self-proclaimed Whitebeard Jr., Weevil!"
"Former Impel Down Chief Warden, Magellan!"
"Charlotte Cracker, Minister of Biscuits!"
"Weren't they all supposed to be dead? How are they here?!"
Everyone was dumbfounded by the unbelievable scene unfolding before them. One after another, powerful figures emerged from the coffins—each a renowned powerhouse in the Grand Line.
The Navy soldiers instinctively stepped back. The scene was too eerie, filling them with a deep sense of dread.
Akainu, his face dark with rage and veins bulging on his forehead, strode forward and shouted, "What are you panicking for?! They're just puppets. And this is how you act? Disgraceful!"
"Puppets?" Kaguya smirked. "Yes, they're just puppets. But if you underestimate them, you'll regret it."
Suddenly, Kaido stepped out from his coffin, stomping down hard and launching himself like a cannonball. In the blink of an eye, he appeared in front of Akainu, swung his muscular arm, clenched his fist, and slammed it down.
"What?!" Akainu's pupils contracted sharply. "So fast—"
Boom!
A deafening explosion erupted. Caught off guard, Akainu was punched squarely in the chest and sent flying like he'd been hit by a freight train. He crashed through several walls before finally slamming into a warship, smashing it to pieces.
Everyone gasped in shock. They hadn't expected the Kaido-lookalike to possess such overwhelming power—just one hit had sent Akainu flying.
"Could it really be a puppet?" Sengoku asked, bewildered.
"Doesn't seem like it," Garp replied, his expression grave. "If it were just a puppet, it wouldn't have knocked Sakazuki away so easily."
Sengoku's eyes suddenly widened. "Could it be…"
"That's right," Kaguya said as she walked up and patted Kaido's sturdy body. "He is who you think he is—Kaido. The real Kaido of the Beasts."
"Kaido?!"
Everyone present had vaguely suspected it, but hearing Kaguya say it outright still left them stunned.
If they remembered correctly, Kaido and the others had died years ago—some even over a decade ago. The World Government had even removed their bounties.
And yet, here they were again.
"Since you're all so interested," Kaguya said, her lips curling into a smirk, "I'll let him play with you."
As soon as she spoke, Kaido clenched his fists and let out a thunderous roar. He stomped down and shot forward like an arrow, charging straight at Sengoku and the others.
"Stop pretending to be mysterious!" Sengoku's body expanded rapidly, transforming into his golden Buddha form. He raised his massive fist and punched toward the charging Kaido.
Roar!
Kaido bellowed in fury, muscles bulging, and threw his own punch forward.
Boom!
Their fists collided with a deafening blast, unleashing a massive shockwave that stirred up a violent windstorm.
Sengoku was shocked by the sheer force coming from Kaido's fist. "Such overwhelming power… even in my transformed state, I can barely keep up."
Veins bulged on Kaido's forehead as his muscles tensed. With a fierce roar, his arm swelled further and exploded with raw power.
Bang!
With a dull crash, Sengoku was sent flying, smashing into a concrete wall and leaving a huge hole in it.
Kaido, not letting up, lunged forward like a cannonball, raining down punches like a torrential storm.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Each heavy punch landed like thunder, pushing Sengoku into a clear disadvantage. He struggled to defend, overwhelmed by Kaido's relentless assault.
After all, Sengoku was no longer in his prime. Aged and weakened, and already fatigued from fighting Kaguya earlier, he hadn't recovered. Now, facing Kaido's ferocious blows, he was clearly outmatched.
Thud!
A punch landed hard on Sengoku's arm, sending him flying once again. His arm went numb—he couldn't even muster the strength to lift it.
At that moment, Kaido roared and threw a punch straight at Sengoku's chest.
"This is bad!"
Sengoku's pupils contracted.
"Hrah!"
With a shout, a figure suddenly appeared. A punch landed on Kaido, sending him flying back—it was Garp.
At the same time, Fujitora drew his blade and swung. Ripples of invisible gravity enveloped Kaido.
Boom!
Under the intense gravitational force, the ground beneath Kaido's feet cracked and crumbled. Rubble flew, and his movements slowed.
Then, in a flash, Aokiji appeared behind him, slamming a palm into his back. With the sound of ice forming, Kaido's body began to freeze, and within moments, he was completely encased in ice.
But it didn't end there—Akainu, Kizaru, Momousagi, and Ryokugyu all leapt into the air. Blazing magma, searing lasers, and piercing sword auras rained down with a thunderous explosion, crashing hard into Kaido.
Momousagi lightly touched the ground with her toes, landing gracefully. She looked at the badly battered Kaido in front of her, eyes narrowing slightly.
If there was anyone the Navy feared most—not Gol D. Roger, not Red-Haired Shanks, not even Big Mom—it was Kaido of the Beasts.
This guy didn't just possess overwhelming strength. He had a near-indestructible body. Executions couldn't kill him—he'd snap chains during hangings, shatter guillotines, and break spears meant to pierce him. He had sunk nine massive prison ships, and though he had been defeated before, no one had ever succeeded in killing him. Even Kaido himself had tried to commit suicide multiple times without success.
What made it worse was his love for causing trouble. With nothing better to do, he would randomly attack Navy Headquarters. He couldn't be killed, couldn't be caught—he was a walking disaster.
But this time was different. Now, nearly the entire strength of the Navy was assembled here. There were eight Admiral-level figures alone. No matter how powerful Kaido was, he couldn't take on all of them at once.
Looking at Kaido's current miserable state, it was clear—his body was almost completely pierced through. His left side had a massive burned hole, his right side was frozen solid, and his chest was caved in with several gaping wounds. Yet strangely, no blood flowed out.
To have Kaido follow her commands, Kaguya surely had secrets no one knew. After her disappearance for years, she had become even more unfathomable.
Staring at that familiar figure in the distance, Momousagi bit her lip. Just how many secrets was this woman hiding?
As if sensing Momousagi's gaze, Kaguya turned and curled her lips into a mischievous, seductive smile.
Momousagi didn't back down. Her bright eyes flickered as she winked and playfully made a funny face by tapping under her eye.
"Tch, just some spooky tricks," Akainu said coldly, his hawk-like eyes sharp and menacing. "Thinking you can do whatever you want with this bunch of nobodies you summoned? Don't kid yourself."
With that, Akainu stepped up to Kaido, eyes flashing with a cold glint. He clenched his fist and punched.
Boom!
A burning magma fist punched straight through Kaido's body, lava splattering everywhere. A massive hole opened in Kaido's torso, nearly cutting through him entirely.
"Let's see what tricks you've got left," Akainu said, turning back with a deep voice. "Go ahead and show me everything."
Kaguya didn't speak. She simply reached out and tapped behind him.
Akainu growled, "What now? More cheap tricks? Give it up. No matter how hard you struggle, you're not getting out of here."
"I think you've misunderstood," Kaguya said with a grin. "I meant—you've got someone behind you."
Behind… someone?
Akainu's pupils suddenly shrank. He whirled around—and to his shock, a towering figure was behind him.
How was this possible?
Akainu was shaken. He had just pierced Kaido's heart and destroyed his internal organs. Even the powers of the Ope Ope no Mi couldn't fix something like that.
Then he looked at Kaido's chest—and his eyes flew wide open. The massive hole had begun to regenerate at a visible speed. In no time at all, it was fully healed. Not just that—the rest of his injuries had also disappeared. He looked untouched.
Kaido let out a roar and grabbed the stunned Akainu's head with one massive hand. With a sudden slam—Boom!—he smashed Akainu's head into the ground, cracking it and sending spiderweb-like fractures through the earth.
Pfft!
Akainu's eyes bulged. Blood sprayed from his mouth.
What was going on?
Everyone present was stunned. They had clearly just severely injured Kaido—so why did he now appear completely unscathed? Even with his incredible regenerative ability, it shouldn't be possible to recover this fast.
Kaido let out a deafening roar, seizing Akainu by the throat with one massive hand. With the other, he threw a punch.
Seeing the attack coming, Akainu's eyes widened in fury. Gritting his teeth, he transformed his fist into blazing magma and slammed it into Kaido's chest.
Boom!
Sparks and smoke erupted. Akainu's magma fist pierced straight through Kaido's chest, emerging from his back in a torrent of black smoke.
Akainu sneered coldly. "Fool."
But then Kaido roared, swung his arm, and delivered a punch—without the slightest hint of being injured.
"What?!" Akainu's pupils shrank.
Smash!
Kaido's fist landed squarely on Akainu's face, distorting it into a grotesque shape. His body flew backward, crashing into a wall with a thunderous boom. Eyes bulging, he spat out a mouthful of blood.
Sliding down from the wall, Akainu dropped to one knee. Ignoring the blood streaming from his face, he looked up in shock—only to see the gaping hole in Kaido's chest already healing rapidly. In just a dozen seconds, it had completely vanished.
How was this possible?
Meanwhile, across the battlefield, the Navy soldiers fighting the reincarnated puppets began shouting in panic.
"What are these monsters? They won't die!"
"Careful! Their injuries heal on their own!"
"Is this a Devil Fruit power?! What do we do? Swords and guns are useless—even cannons don't work!"
"Even if we blow them to pieces, they regenerate!"
"Damn it! What do we do now?!"
"What kind of freakish things are these?!"
On the battlefield, Navy troops launched attack after attack against those who had emerged from the coffins. But eerily, after being struck down, those figures stood back up within seconds—completely healed and brimming with energy, as if nothing had happened.
Even when blown to bits, their bodies reassembled shortly after and returned to the fight.
The rank-and-file weren't the only ones shocked. Even the admirals were stunned. This was a kind of power none of them had ever encountered. The Shadow Fruit could produce similar zombie-like results, but the power was always limited by the strength of the host corpse.
But these beings… their strength didn't seem diminished at all. It was as if they were the same as they were in life.
What in the world were these things?
"Looks like you've figured it out," Kaguya said with a glint in her eyes, a playful smile on her lips. "So… are my toys fun or what?"
