Ezio clutched his head as a glint caught his eye. He turned to see a group of gang members aiming their rifles at him, but Ezio wasn't afraid. Instead, he was furious that they had
killed the vice president. In an instant, he lunged forward, his movement breaking the limits
of speed itself, and before any of the gang members could fire, Ezio's scythe had already
reaped them. Trembling, one of the gang members tried to retreat from the Ancient Reaper.
Ezio was in no mood for mercy. His roar shook dimensions as he ordered him to stop backing
away and face his end, his voice rising with fury as he wanted more answers. Before he could get
what he wanted, the gang member stumbled back in fear, falling toward a pink dagger. His body
convulsed, and then he died. Ezio lunged forward to uncover what had happened, but the gang member fell against him, forcing him off balance. He stumbled, and darkness took over completely as he lost consciousness. When Ezio regained his senses, he looked around only to find a pink letter. He knelt to pick it up and read it. Figures. Now Ezio knew he had to secure his position.
Ezio approached the spirit of his friend. He held his scythe at his side not planning to use. He couldn't use it. He could not reap his best friend even if it meant him getting caught. His friend then spoke, "What are you waiting for Ezio? You got a job to do." Ezio blinked his tears away and said he couldn't do it. He could reap anyone else but him. His friend turned around to start walking, and Ezio followed. He was not familiar with the afterlife since, but it was clear that his friend would give him a tour. He started to see other people, their voices calling It was almost as if it was his job to answer back. That's when a dark figure swooped forth, trying to grab his friend by the collar. Ezio swung his scythe at it, but the dark figure was too fast even for him to follow. It tried to kick Ezio, but Ezio was able to avoid the attack. The dark figure then flew away. Whatever that thing is clearly
didn't seem human. Was it a legendary beast of some sort? His friend stood up and thanked Ezio for saving him. Ezio assured him that he was safe around him.
Whatever that thing is, it was bound to come back.
"Do you understand now?" his friend asked.
"If you don't reap me now, I will forever be hunted by monsters such as the one you've seen a minute ago."
Ezio responded this time, "I already told you that I'm going to keep you safe from that thing.
I just need to know what that thing is. Do you have any clue?"
"I barely got here. So, no. But there is so much more to discover. c'mon let's
go." his friend said.
With that, Ezio followed his friend into the unknown.
While Ezio walked, he thought about the best days that they had. When they first got their positions Ezio hated his friend. He was too friendly with people. Not to say that social is bad.
"What do you plan to do now that I'm dead Ezio?" he asked.
"Nothing has changed. I still plan to run for my original position." Ezio stated.
"I will find the person who was responsible for your death, then I'll make them feel sorry." he continued.
"My death might've been a accident though." his friend announced.
"I don't believe that at all." Ezio said.
"Did you notice some a hint as to how you got off contact with me? I tried to contact you by phone." Ezio asked.
"Strangely yes. My phone started to glitch for some unknown reason, almost as if it was hacked."
Ezio though about what that could mean. He had to keep it all a secret, not let Cyrus know for the time being.
The more Ezio walked, the more frustrated Ezio became. Why did the job of the ancient reaper have to fall to him. Was it because he was ruthless no matter what he did? He often didn't care about hurting others. His goal at the end of the day was to gain power over others. Guess that's what the ancients love. Power.
