Alfred was surprised the operatives had managed to get to the second floor with zero casualties.Hopefully that would get sorted out though.
Alfred had changed his mind about wanting to support the SMB.The fact that they hadn't talked about three towns getting slaughtered from the dungeon breaks of the three floors meant that the on site operatives hadn't been told anything.
He had talked to his monsters and they had confirmed that they had wiped out three towns. It was likely that the SMB as a large organisation spanning the globe would have a dark side to it.It was highly unlikely that the SMB wouldn't have found out about the fate of those three towns.
Alfred Winson had been too hopeful in there being a completely good organisation. It made him so nauseous he would vomit if he still had a body.If they didn't want to destroy him then he would simply become a problem until they decided to destroy him.He had to have his revenge first though.
Alfred had no desire to be used as a dungeon. He would live his life the way he wanted and end it the way he wanted.
...
Maladus was first to step into the portal. When the brightness dimmed Maladus found himself standing in a forest.
The wildlife around the forest watched his appearance for a brief moment and then resumed their activities. The forest looked like a normal forest from earth with all the regular inhabitants and everything.
Maladus surveyed the area beyond his immediate surroundings. In the distance he could see some plains,a large castle and a village. At the very ends he could see black and red walls as well as a ceiling of the same colour if he looked up.
Despite being a massive interior space there scanners detected that there was sunlight despite there being no obvious sun.
"It's safe"
Maladus spoke into the reciever. The others emerged from the portal shortly thereafter.
All nine of them were shocked by the interior space. They hadn't expected to walk into a forest close to palace grounds.
"The chaotic randomness of this dungeon confuses me.The dungeons of old were all reported to have a main theme with everything inside it revolving around that theme. These modern dungeons simply don't follow solidified rules."
A tremor reverberated throughout their feet but it was far softer then the quake that happened when they were defending the dungeon from the noble sorcerors.
"What was that?"
Sarah was the one to somewhat answer Vergils question.
"The equipment detected mass amounts of mana running through the dungeon.I guess the dungeon is undergoing some sort of changes."
Vergil looked at a squirrel climbing a tree.Suddenly an AI sounding voice imparting information talked in his head.
This creature is known as the common red squirrel. What else do you want from me.I'm supposed to give information on dungeon mobs not common everyday garden rodents.
"Did anyone else hear that voice?" Vergil looked to the others who were looking at forest animals with confused expressions.
...
Alfred had brought a few upgrades from the shop. The first upgrade was known as 'impart mob information' which allowed adventurers to gain information about mobs from a voice in their heads.
The voice only gave mild information regarding their abilities and mostly information about their personalities and appearances.
The trait also slightly increased the physical abilities of all the mobs in the dungeon though it wasn't by much. This was likely to make up for giving information.
The second trait Alfred had brought was 'get your essences worth' so instead of getting a fixed amount of essence from someone's death he would get the full amount of essence from that sapient creature.
Apparently other dungeons already had that ability but every single dungeon was unique in their abilities and capabilities but were similar in their immense potentials.
Anyways Alfred decided to keep an eye on Vergils team for this floor.
...
The three teams split up once more with Vergil and two officer class operatives by the name of Stew #37 and Keegan #29.
The white doorway that led them here appeared to be located in the corner of the floor close to two walls. This floor was also a lot bigger then the dilapidated hospital floor as shown by the fly drones which had yet to make a full map.
