After Yvonne's fight, it became obvious which setup the spectators enjoyed the most. Sera decided that all the matches during the first week would change from regular duels to free-for-alls.
In reality, spectator enjoyment was the least of her concerns, but it was a great excuse. The forest design gave them the perfect opportunity for cheating.
Anytime someone got in trouble, Bea and Faith could assist without anyone noticing. They cared little if the actual fighters saw them cheat, since they wouldn't make it out alive, anyway.
They held multiple matches a day, so the progress quickened. Astrid, James, Sarah and Melinda all acquired Stellar Rank, while Cass managed to Evolve into an Ethereal.

Astrid fought against a few angels, including Prosperity from the Horsemen of Genesis. Finally, she Evolved using a jackal-headed Egyptian god named Anubis.
