I opened my mouth to scream, but the smell coming off the creature in front of me was enough to make me want to puke.
I was still hunched into as small of a ball as I could, protecting my head and wondering why the guys weren't helping me.
"Is this some type of greeting we are unaware of?" asked He'dtaalh, and I could feel his legs pressing against my back.
Unable to utter a sound, I frantically shook my head 'no,' my eyes never raising from the ground. I had no idea what was going on here, but the thing had a human finger caught between his teeth.
This wasn't right.
"Are you in danger?" pressed He'dtaalh, and once again, I frantically nodded my head.
With a roar of his own, He'dtaalh stepped over my body and stood directly in front of me.
I looked between his legs to see him reaching down to the light purple creature in front of me. Wanting to see what was going on, I used He'dtaalh's body as support as I rose to my feet and looked around him.
