"This next destination is worth the whole day, but is everyone on board? Let me repeat this, is everyone on board!" (Terrin)
He wasn't burly but anyone would recognise his lean build had packed some meat into it. He could never compare to an athlete, but his small everyday efforts were recognised. He stood a head above the rest, glancing down to make sure of everyone's sentiments.
"Uoooh!" (Everyone)
They raised their fist in support. It was the second day of the trip, to say the least everyone was excited. Half the class was here at the local theme park of Manukia commercial zone, with Aloysius, Terrin, Calamine, Tinsel, Eichiro, Jianmi, Lastia, Arin, Sariel, Mebi, and Corrine. The other half was visiting the next day as they had conflicting plans, ideally they wanted the whole class to be here.
Well, they presented the activity as such, but in the end once they past the gate they would inevitably split into multiple smaller groups. The boys decided to remain in their group of 6, with the missing 2 from yesterday finally making an appearance. The new additions were both blond, so it was a little hard to differentiate them, but at least Yggdrasil had the chance to get confused unlike Lastia who operated while without getting to know them. The girls decided to try sticking together too, much to the chagrin of Yggdrasil.
In the end she wanted to isolate herself much like her master, if it helped to protect her secret. Her hesitation was evident in her face as Arin proposed the plan to them, Sariel looked on confuzzled but she dismissed it as Lastia's usual reluctance to be around people. She had a little grasp over her character as a month or two passed. They walked together, taking in the sight, as if burning it into their retinas. Arin in particular loved to admire people having fun. Her sight sweeped around the place, licking the lively crowd of customers of the theme park.
"Fufu, how do I say it... Her energy makes me satisfied..." (Corrine)
"I know right?" (Mebi)
A couple of chuckles escape the lips of a girl with shoulder length brown hair and piercing scarlet eyes. The girl next to her was a full head shorter sprouting a magnificent pair of dark navy twin tails. They walked close to the back of the group, observing Arin with wide smiles.
"Oh! Ooh! Let's try that!" (Sariel)
Her luscious long black hair swayed behind her school uniform. After all, they were still on a sponsored trip so they had to keep their uniforms on. There were many other girls wearing different uniforms around Manukia, it wasn't uncommon for one to wear a uniform until they came of age. Lastia and Sariel stood right in front of the library club members, with Arin far off in the front like an excited animal. For a moment they could see a pair of dog ears on her as she explored.
"Okay, let's try it!" (Lastia)
She smiled cleanly at Sariel, her heart skipped a beat, hoping Sariel would never find out. After all, Sariel was the one who had tried to stop her master from facing the super satellite calamity. It looks like there were still lingering effects like a curse, allowing Sariel to use magnetic powers to some extend ever since. She could even use it without transformation, in exchange she constantly outputted her magic signature, she couldn't conceal her signal unless she transformed and consciously tried to hide it.
Lastia waved Arin over, skillfully drawing her back into the group to inform everyone which ride they wanted to do next. Spinning tea cups, it was slightly cramped but it generously fit all 5 people. Mebi, Arin and Sariel began spinning the axle in the centre with all their strength, their loud laughter occupied the air around them as it began to spun faster. The surroundings began to slightly blur.
"Fufu.. Fufuhahaha!?" (Lastia)
She found herself guffawing at their goofiness. Her lips parted and her throat hurled out unfiltered amusement, she thrusted her hands into the centre and began contributing too. Leaving Corrine grabbing tightly onto the sides in a panic not to fall off. A single tear streak escaped her eye as she clenched her teeth.
"Uaaaahhhh!!!!" (Corrine)
Satisfied, Lastia lifted her body off the seat and got off the cup. For safety's sake, everyone boarded and alighted at fixed times, fortunately the ride was always packed with eager park riders, so every cup was always occupied.
"Ah!" (Mebi)
The theme park was crowded, someone might have knocked into her without noticing her due to her short stature.
"My drink!" (Mebi)
With a sad tinge in her slightly raspy voice, she exclaimed as she stared down at the spillage.
"Sheesh, fine you can have this one. Please be more careful... " (Corrine)
She picked out a cool bottle from a paper bag that she was carrying, right after the ride they had all picked out something to eat or drink from the in-park convenience store. There were a whole line of stores to the side and numerous tables too, Mebi went to one of the stores and got a cup of some sweet flavoured drink.
"huh.. But, isn't this yours?" (Mebi)
She evidently felt guilty, her heart squeezed a little as she thought of how she deprived her friend of a drink with her own carelessness. She hesitated as she wasn't the one to get the drink from the convenience store, nor did she pay for it.
"Take it, I'm not thirsty anyway. I wasn't the one putting my whole body into spinning the cup earlier!" (Corrine)
"ehehe... Thanks!" (Mebi)
It almost seemed like her twintails bounced before she turned to plug the bottle into her mouth. Before anyone noticed, she had already uncapped it. Arin observed it with warmth inside her chest, smiling from ear to ear. She turned around and nudged Lastia a couple times.
"When is out turn? Hehe." (Arin)
Was she serious? Yggdrasil wouldn't know. She experienced laughter at the ride they had just left because the thought of her friends lighthearted actions left her greatly amused. What about this? What was she feeling after watching the library club pair...
She turned to face the front, a smile worn on her face.
"Maybe next time." (Lastia)
She softly glanced at Arin as they walked towards their next ride. She had hoped that was the correct answer.
