Chapter 440 - Chapter 440: The True King

Carrot had no idea what was happening to her. Faced with the transformed Carl, she felt an instinctive urge to submit.

This gave her an incredibly strange feeling—compared to Pedro, the current king of the Mink Tribe, Carl felt much more like a true king.

Wanda shared the same feeling, though it wasn't as intense as Carrot's.

At this moment, Wanda stared at Carrot, who stood tall and poised, her face filled with shock.

She was absolutely certain that this was Carrot's first transformation, yet Carrot's composure made it seem like she had done it countless times before.

Even Pedro and Shishilian, the two Minks most proficient in transformations, couldn't maintain such calm and control after transforming.

Could Carrot be a once-in-a-lifetime prodigy of the Mink Tribe?

And then...

Wanda's eyes flickered with a red glow as she struggled to suppress the restlessness in her heart. She thought to herself,

"Why... why can he release the moonlight that triggers our transformations?!"

Carl pondered for a moment, recalling that full moon night more than twenty years ago.

He remembered Nekomamushi shouting "Moon God Form" at the time. This form was clearly distinct from the "Sulong Form."

First, the Moon God Form provided a far greater boost to strength and lightning compared to the Sulong Form. Additionally, it had an unparalleled advantage: the ability to store moonlight within the body even in its normal state!

This ability allowed him to transform at will, anytime, anywhere!

Moreover, as his own strength continued to grow, he could store more and more moonlight, to the point where it would even overflow upon transformation.

Clearly, Carrot had used the excess moonlight radiating from him to achieve her first transformation.

However, it seemed not every Mink could transform just by absorbing Carl's moonlight. For example, Wanda could only manage some slight fur growth at best.

Carl observed Carrot carefully. He wasn't particularly into "furry aesthetics," but he had to admit, in her transformed state, Carrot looked stunning—she radiated an elegance akin to moonlight.

Carrot blinked a few times, then took two steps back, looking down at herself in astonishment.

"So this is transformation...? What a strange and fascinating feeling..."

As she spoke, she kicked off with one leg, instantly turning into a white blur as she darted around the office with incredible speed.

Just as she was enjoying herself, Carl suddenly moved, appearing right in front of her in a flash.

Carrot yelped in surprise and tried to stop, but due to inertia, she ended up crashing straight into Carl's chest.

Despite the forceful impact, Carl's body remained completely unmoved, as if she had slammed into a mountain. A large bump immediately formed on Carrot's forehead.

Holding her aching head, she squatted down, repeatedly groaning,

"Ow, ow, ow... that hurts...!"

Carl looked down at the squatting Carrot and deactivated his Moon God Form.

"This isn't a place for you to play around. And besides..."

A mischievous smirk appeared on Carl's face as he leaned in and whispered,

"You should take better care of your head. If it gets damaged, it might affect the taste."

"!!!"

Carrot was so terrified that she immediately jumped up from the ground. Hugging her head with both hands, she stared at Carl in shock and shouted,

"Y-You! How could you say that?! I even let you pet me just now! How can you turn on me like this?!"

Wanda twitched at the corners of her mouth upon hearing this, while Lucia watched the flustered Carrot with a smirk. Meanwhile, Carl narrowed his eyes slightly and looked down at Carrot, saying,

"Oh? Weren't you the one who rubbed against my hand on your own? Lying little bunnies get thrown into the pot, you know."

Carrot gulped and began slowly inching backward, her voice trembling,

"Y-You stay away from me...!"

The moment her words fell, Carrot's body shuddered. Without the moonlight's influence, she reverted to her normal form, and Carl casually grabbed her by the scruff of her neck.

Having just transformed for the first time, Carrot was unfamiliar with the process and inevitably entered a period of exhaustion. She had no strength left to resist as Carl held her up effortlessly.

Slumping in defeat, she sighed,

"Do whatever you want... It's not like I can escape anyway..."

Carl raised an eyebrow, then casually tossed her toward Lucia.

Lucia extended her arms and caught Carrot as she fell.
