"Fucking... Fuck." Loona said as she walked along with her phone in hand. "It's not my fault you all can't find him... Ugh."
She was in the middle of a long argument with her co-workers about their current mark. They hadn't been able to find him anywhere, and she was being blamed again for the rough job. It was like finding a needle in a haystack it seemed, usually they could track down anyone but THIS person in particular was giving them trouble.
As she walked along, her paw came to rest on a small rock or a pebble of some sort. It made a little 'crunch' sound and she felt something break under her, so she lifted her paw to investigate. However, the conversation she was having drew her attention before she could actually she what she had stepped on. In frustration, she swapped to another conversation she was having and chose to ignore Moxxie for the time being. She was almost back anyway, and at least there she'd be able to rip someone's throat out if she needed to... Co-workers or otherwise. She set her paw back down though, not paying attention to the pebble. As she messed around on her phone, trying to get her mind off the high-value target they were missing, she began to gently roll her paw around on the object under her.
"Ugh." She said under her breath, softly enough that nobody would hear.
The object under her paw was a good focus for her though, so she wasn't too upset. She simply kept rubbing her paw in a small circle, enjoying the sensation until she felt a little splurt of wetness underneath.
'Oh well,' she thought, 'I better get back and see if I can find another mark.'
With that, she shifted her weight on the object underneath her. It collapsed, squelching like a little grape against her paw. She lifted it up once more to see what might have made the squish, but another notification caught her attention before she could examine what remained. It was still stuck to her paw's skin though, whatever it was. If it was a bug, too-bad-so-sad. If it was something else? Whatever...
She continued on her way, heading into the inevitable hellstorm of her workplace. At least she could probably rely on Blitz to be on her side in whatever was to come...
*Later*
"It's her fault! She needs to actually LOOK at the shit she's getting us into instead of her damn phone." Moxxie growled, "How in hell are we going to find someone the size of an insect! With no records, no actual proof he even existed in the first place. All we know is 'Blue hair,' and 'Tiny little fucker.'"
"Yeah, you couldn't even squish a bug right huh?" Loona replied, "He was worth SO much and they said he'd be right here in hell."
"A bug! It's obviously a prank or something."
Luna growled under her breath, kicking her paws back up on the desk as she turned her attention back to her phone to try and mentally check out of the argument. It worked, too, until she heard Blitz say her name again. Frustrated, she huffed and looked back to the rest of her co-workers.
"What!" She growled, "I'll get you a fucking good job or some shit after this just leave me the FUCK alone for a little while before I..."
"What's on your paw?" Blitz said, pointing toward her paw pad from where he stood at the head of the table.
"No." Moxxie said in disbelief, "You didn't."
Loona shifted herself so she could see the underside of her paw. Low and behold, there he was. His brains were smashed out of his little skull, his guts were spread thin, and he was covered in a thick layer of dirt. Loona smirked, moved her phone into position, snapped a picture, and began to open up an e-mail to send to their client. She stretched her paws out, splaying her toes smugly as she bobbed it in front of her upset co-worker.
"Aw! You got em!" Millie said, "Isn't that great?"
"No, it's not great! What the fuc-" Moxxie tried to say before being cut off. Not by words, but by a middle finger being given across the room as Loona continued to smirk at him.
"Money in the bank! See if they want another bug-boy dead!" Blitz said excitedly
