In the midst of laughter and conversation, the issue was finally halfway resolved, but the rest depended on Mr. Jeffrey's contribution of money.
Yan Xiaye's anxious heart settled down as she sat there quietly, not saying a word.
Until Adam stood up and shook hands with Mr. Cass in farewell.
"Miss Yan, my sister likes you very much and asked why you didn't show up today," Mr. Cass said to Yan Xiaye after releasing Adam's hand. "You know, I don't like to see Angel upset, so if you have time, perhaps you could visit her now?"
Yan Xiaye nodded without hesitation, feeling as if she had received a great pardon.
Even though she was now caught in the same situation as Adam, she still wanted to seize any chance to escape.
"Very well, Angel will certainly be pleased," Cass said with a nonchalant smile. He turned to Adam, saying, "I'm sorry, but my sister doesn't see guests. Please go back and wait. I'll make sure Miss Yan is safely returned."
"Of course."
