Chapter 20 - The Level of Elden

It was information about his father's game account. There was a suspicious login, and it also showed changes to every piece of information about the account. In the next line, there was a secret message code mentioned. That meant: Find me soon. It was a bit confusing—the message above was just information about the changes in the account, and the next line contained information about something suspicious.

She said, "So, this was the reason I went without informing you, and I'm sorry about that. I was in a hurry to check if it was actually true." Yes, it was. When she checked his PC, the login had changed; she could not open his account, and all his data had been auto-deleted. She could not recover them. There was a code that did not match the sentence. When she checked it, it was originally written in the game language. You know it, I think.

"My hypothesis is my father is alive somewhere; he sent this message. I think so. The last thing I could find was when I checked the IP address—who logged in and from where—it seemed to show an error. It displayed an in-game location. There seems to be a problem, like last time; I cannot find where he was."

He asked her, "What was the location that was mentioned?"

She also noted the address. It was another different world in the game that everyone would avoid entering. The name of the world is The Level of Elden, she said.

He said, "We need to search in that place first; we can get some clue there about your father. We must do it sooner." He asked her if she was free tonight to log in to the exact location to check. She said, "Yes… so, what about the PC's performance? Is it good? You already logged in… never expected it so soon. What was the first world you chose?"

"Too many questions at the same time. How can I answer?" He said. "So, for your first question, yeah, the performance was impressive. I logged in yesterday after you set it up. The world I chose is Missing World of Traruka, or Underground Dungeon."

Her expression changed, more like a dome. She asked, "Why did you join that world? It's way too hard; even elites don't choose to enter it. What happened next?" With a look of wonder on her face, he said he would explain the whole story about what happened in the game. She was shocked that there was a way like that to defeat the monster.

"The time is up; that's what I think. Because tonight we plan the operation to find her father. I will complete work before that time."

So he said goodbye to her and went to the bus stop. He soon reached home. He knocked on the door for a moment before Eli Coral opened it. He went inside and closed the door. She was eating—perhaps she had missed lunch, he thought. Because when she was focused on important matters, like playing games or doing work, she was so dedicated that she would miss lunch or breakfast.

Soon after, he changed his clothes and came back to the hall. She was still eating. She said, "So, if you're hungry, I also prepared something for you. You can take it from the kitchen, though… yuk yuk" —some of the rice may have stuck on her throat. After drinking a glass of water, she resumed, "If you're not hungry, then I'll keep it."

He was too lazy to prepare a meal, so that night he ate what she had made. After that, they had a little talk. He asked about her availability that night, but she had other plans. She said, "Maybe another day."

He went to his room, turned on the PC, put on the headset, and started the game. First, he saw a dark screen; then the loading screen appeared, and within a few seconds, it completed loading. He was in the save room where he had left the game.

In the menu above, a few new icons appeared: one said Return to the World, and another Invite Friend to Our World. Since he had conquered the first level of the world, no other player could choose it (maybe too much for him—every world worked the same). At the same time, he could not capture other worlds. The only way to involve others was by invitation.

In fact, the world Infinity wasn't about action, attacking, or magic. It was all about world-building for the Lord of the 7 Temples (that Lord thing is part of the old story), including war, capturing kingdoms, or negotiating with others. The first time he played this game, it did not have this many features, but now there were a lot.

After he clicked on Return to the World, he was teleported into the old Thorn Room—maybe just the look of it, though. He was standing near an old thorn made of solid rocks. There was an icon that said Sit Here. When he sat on it for a second, everything changed and then returned to normal. He was not sure what had happened, but he saw something there for sure… he thought.
