Chapter 40 - Progress and Plans

It was a crisp Saturday morning, and Aryan arrived at the Student Union building, the air filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. The building was bustling with activity as students from different grades, both new and old, made their way in and out, eager to improve their skills. The Union had quickly become a central hub of learning and growth, and Aryan felt a surge of pride seeing how far they had come.

As he entered the main meeting room, he was greeted by Tsunade, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Sakumo, who were already gathered around the table. They exchanged brief smiles, but there was an underlying seriousness to their expressions. They were here to assess the progress of their departments and discuss the future.

"Good morning, everyone," Aryan began as he took his seat. "Before we dive into specific reports, I'd like to hear how each department is handling the influx of new students. I know it's been a busy month."

Orochimaru leaned forward, his expression thoughtful. "The Ninjutsu Department has been managing well, but I have some concerns. While most students have successfully learned the basic D-level ninjutsu, their chakra extraction capacity is still low, which limits their ability to perform these jutsu effectively. This is particularly true for the younger students. To progress to C-level jutsu, they will need to be at least 11 or 12 years old, and even then, it will be challenging. However, I'm encouraged by their improvement, slow as it may be."

He paused, then added, "I've advised them to focus more on chakra control for now. It will be crucial as they grow older and their chakra reserves increase. As for the senior students in grades five and six, they've made significant progress. They're becoming proficient in all the basic D-level jutsu, and in the coming months, some of them will be ready to learn C-level jutsu."

Aryan nodded, taking in Orochimaru's analysis. "That's good advice. Chakra control is fundamental, especially as they advance. On that note, I've recently completed my fire chakra shape transformation and documented my experience in a scroll. I suggest we use it as a graduation gift for students who are leaving the academy. It'll give them a clear goal to focus on as they start their ninja careers."

The others looked impressed, and Aryan continued, "I encourage all department heads to contribute their experiences with chakra nature and shape transformation to the Union when they finish. It will be invaluable to students who don't have someone to guide them personally."

Jiraiya and Sakumo exchanged a glance before Jiraiya spoke. "We've been focusing on physical conditioning and basic taijutsu, and the results are promising. The new training routines, especially the emphasis on stretching before and after workouts, have reduced injuries significantly. The students are not only getting stronger but also more disciplined in how they take care of their bodies."

Sakumo added, "We've identified a few students who have excelled in taijutsu. They're ready for more advanced training, and we plan to introduce them to higher-level sparring sessions soon."

Aryan smiled, pleased with their progress. "Great work, both of you. It's important that we continue to push them without overwhelming them. This balance is key."

Tsunade took her turn, her tone measured. "The Medical Department is thriving. Several students have grasped the basics of chakra control and healing techniques much faster than I anticipated. However, I've noticed a trend—many of the female students who joined are hesitant about fighting. They've expressed a strong desire to help the village but are afraid of the violence that comes with being a ninja. They're more interested in healing and support roles, which is something we should nurture."

Aryan nodded thoughtfully. "It's important that we respect their wishes. Not every ninja needs to be a fighter. We should encourage them to follow the path that aligns with their values and strengths."

Finally, Aryan addressed the Genjutsu Department. "Genjutsu is a difficult art to master, but I'm seeing progress. A few students are beginning to understand the basics and are showing potential. I've been giving them extra attention to ensure they develop these skills properly. It's a slow process, but I'm confident they'll get there."

The group acknowledged Aryan's efforts, understanding that genjutsu required a unique blend of intelligence, chakra control, and creativity.

As they moved on to discussing future plans, Aryan asked, "How are we preparing for the new students who will join us next year? With the influx we've seen, we need to have a clear setup so they can integrate smoothly."

Tsunade responded, "We've established a clear curriculum for new students. The foundational training we've put in place this year will give them an easier time adjusting. They'll have a structured path to follow from the moment they join, and we'll be ready to support them every step of the way."

Jiraiya added, "The senior students have also stepped up to mentor the newcomers. It's helping create a sense of community and continuity, which is exactly what we need."

With the main discussion out of the way, Aryan introduced a new idea. "There's one more thing I'd like to propose. I've noticed that our students are fully focused on becoming ninjas, which is great, but they need to realize that there's more to life than just being a ninja. We should encourage them to develop hobbies and interests outside of their training. I'm suggesting we dedicate Sunday as an optional day for extracurricular activities. This could be a time for students to explore different activities that aren't related to their ninja training."

The others looked intrigued, and Aryan continued, "I'll lead by example and start a music group. I want to learn different musical instruments, and I'm sure there are other students who might be interested in arts, crafts, or even different types of games." Aryan introduce some indoor and outdoor games from my previous life, like board games or sports that aren't practiced here to other department heard and said "It will add some spice to their lives and help them unwind."

Tsunade smiled at the idea. "That's a great initiative, Aryan. It's important to remind everyone that life isn't just about battles and missions. Having a balanced life will make them better ninjas in the long run."

Closing Scene

The meeting wrapped up with everyone agreeing to their tasks and Aryan's new proposal. As they left the room, Aryan stayed behind for a moment, reflecting on the progress they had made and the new directions they were heading in.

The Student Union had become more than just a training group; it was shaping into a community that supported its members in all aspects of life. Aryan felt a deep sense of responsibility, but also excitement for what was to come.

He made a mental note to keep pushing forward, not just as a leader, but as a student who was still learning and growing with everyone else. The future was bright, and Aryan was determined to see that every student in the village had the opportunity to realize their full potential.
